Agree 100%. Parents in control is like the tail wagging the dog.Maybe Pikeville needs to start from gr. zero with a coach with no ties to this football program at all . I'm hoping they make the right hire this time. Too much tradition here to let things like that(Jenkins) happen

Agree. This Bowl is not what it once was as far as the competition goes for both Pikeville & Belfry. I know that I wouldn't be exactly fond of driving from one end of the State to watch two Co. teams play. Imo, this Bowl could be what it was at one time if the Bowl Committee would use some imagination. However Pikeville still needs to get its coaching problems ironed out.

Agree with this. Imo, it would make the Bowl more competitive and give each Co. team more opportunity to play more quality teams year in & year out.However, we (Pikeville) are going to have to get our coaching problems resolved or it is going to take its toll.

Ben is a fine young man and comes from a great family. His dad Hillard Howard , as many of you may know did a lot for football in our state , especially in our part of the state( Eastern ). Very disappointed in the way things turned out for Ben. However the Adm. had no choice this time around in making it's decision. The Pikevillle community, Alumni, fans, & School All had great hopes for this football program, but it didn't happen. We hope that one day Pikeville can return to its greatness like it once was.

Thats the way I understand it. May be wrong, but hopefully someone can explain further. By the way is this same policy implemented in other school districts elsewhere??

I think your right ( 300 ) cap on student agreement with the Co. And yes, it's going to be a hard road ahead. However,Pikeville will always be Pikeville with what it has.

Pikeville, as a lot of you know, has a new head coach and a whole new system from little leaugue all the way up. Coach Ben is young, but experienced, and knows how to win. If these young men stay focussed and take care of business, and the community stays behind them, there will be great things in store for them in the future, imo.

My corn & beans didn't do any good this year because of the rain. May try rice paddies & bamboo shoots next season.lol

Please remember Pikeville has not had a cupcake schedule either. That could be one of the reasons for their ranking.
