If Mr. KY FB candidate doesn't go down HHS wins, no doubt. BUT...it's a scrimmage and they are NOT the same as a game. After JC got hurt, Dale and staff went into a "deer in the headlights" state of shock...and then started to tinker with an ad hoc "plan B". Dale liberally substituted on O & D and Male played like it was a state final. Male played well, I give them props, but the HHS line-up didn't even begin to solidify until AFTER the Colerain game. The scrimmage was a success in that it exposed weaknesses that needed to be addressed for the REAL games. Dale adjusted, people stepped up, Birds win another title...case closed! :clap:

This is HUGE at some schools. The semester schools not so much as schools on quarters. (ex.: Univ. Cincy). UC was 3 games into the season before school started this year.

Hey, if we're talking about "calendar year", then the KY all-stars over the TN all stars in January's Border Bowl was pretty darn sweet. Highland's had Oliver Head score a TD, Adam Dempsey as the Defensive MVP and Tony Guidugli as the game MVP!!! Always nice to whip the TN boyz...right UK? (LOL)

I'll trump your "homerism" and say Highlands v. Cincy St. X was the pearl of this year's season. The Birds showed the NATION what KY football is all about!

I don't forsee Simpson or Collinsworth playing in this game. Too much to lose in terms of injury versus scholarship. Plus, a lot of the schools want the guys enrolled in classes ASAP and doing summer workouts. It might be different if the game wasn't in June.
