  1. Footballerforever...... Alfred Williams played a lot of linebacker for the Bengals. He may be on the linebacker poll.
  2. No way was Browner better than Eddie Edwards,or Mike Reid. Justin Smith being ahead of those two too, must be a lot on younger people voting. BTW, Justin Smith was way better for the 49'er's, than he was with the Bengals.
  3. Frankdracman, right on!!! ...lol! BTW, I have met Darrell Chaney, great guy!!!
  4. LOL!!! ...This could go on forever! Nice topic though. Hearing all the different names brings back memories.
  5. Frankdracman, totally agree with you,but it said to pick four,so i picked four!!!! Call me a sheep, just heard me there...lol!!!
  6. Anderson was the man,for so many years. The classic drop back q.b.. Boomer #2, no doubt. Then i go Blake, and Cook. We will never know how good Greg Cook could have been.
  7. One other observation,Ickey Woods is getting way to much run as a top running back in franchise history. Sorry, one great season doesn't get it done!!! I love the guy,but no way is he tied with James Brooks, and ahead of Pete,Essex, and Rudi Johnson. I'll take Boobie Clark, and Cedric Benson ahead of him also. Sorry he got hurt, but injuries happen.
  8. Hey futurecoach. No problem!!! Everyone has a opinion.Nothing wrong with some good debate. I think we would have done alright with either guy! How about a backfield of Dillon at tailback, and Brooks working out of the slot? That would have been interesting!!!
  9. "Brooks would have done nothing" Really!!! Lets not get goofy here. With the talent that brooks had,he's going to help,ANY team. C'mon! Lets think things through. You could use the reverse when talking about Dillion. Had he played with a better q.b.,and w.r.'s ,he may not have gotten the work.Less touches!!! I'd take either one, right now!!!! Love the debate!
  10. Mike Reid could have been all-pro four 10 seasons!!! But what a talented piano player, and music guy. Just wondering,at the time of my post,8 people have voted. Krumrie has 7 votes, who didn't vote for him? ....lol!!!
  11. Yes,i agree. The players in the poll should be,ex players. Mike Martin was a solid player, all around!!! Could return kick offs and punts. Was a better than average wide receiver. Keep it coming guys.
  12. My bad. Forgot about Paul Robinson! The Bengals first real star.Well, him and Greg Cook. Robinson ran for 1,000 yards his rookie season. And that was a 14 game regular season, for all you youngsters.
  13. Pound for pound,James brooks is the best back they ever had. Essex Johnson, the best open field, and maybe the fastest back they had. Can't argue with Corey Dillon for maybe the toughest. Boobie Clark, underrated!!! He was one of the first big backs, who also had some speed. He and Essex Johnson, ran for over 900 yards in one season.Mid "70"s. Not sure what year. Love the poll, and the debate. Keep it going gentlemen
  14. Well, sorry guy's,but somebody has to play from the other side of the draw. Good luck to Troy and the Pioneers. PRP Will be tough.
  15. USS Baton Rouge SSN-689 1978-82 TM2[sS]
  16. If he plays like he can,he'll make it up....and then some. Life is not fair!!!
  17. love to see him in cleveland. they need mega help on the o-line. he is a o.s.u. guy. browns are about 100 mill. under the cap. they have the money. but,as usual, they will probably screw it up.
  18. scooter charles...... bracken....one of the nicest men you will meet. class act. fine coach!
  19. courage my butt!!!!.... really!!!! then what does that mean to the many men in our military, who have given arms, legs, eyesight, sanity, and...their lives!!! can we please have some perspective on this whole c.k. situation. if he REALLY wanted to make a difference, instead of giving money,he would be out in the black neighborhoods ,talking, and doing. lip service is cheap!!! and easy!!! all i've heard he has done is given money. and if he feels people have been so oppressed by this country ...then leave!!!! nobody has said we our perfect. but a lot better place to live than 90% of the countries on this planet. sorry...i've had enough. can we move on please!!! god bless the REAL people who have COURAGE!!!! i hope someday, he will grow up. it's not to late. happy new year people!!!!
  20. congrats tanner! good luck the rest of the season, and at alice lloyd.
  21. pitch counts at the high school level,i have no problem with.but if people think this will fix the problem with protecting arms,i think they may be mistaken. imo the biggest problem with protecting kids arms.....select baseball!!! i know people don't want to here it .....but.......!!! when you have kids playing baseball, spring summer, and fall,it's going to catch up to players, with the exception of a few physically advanced kids. case and point.the high school where i coach at played a grand total of 42 games....that's spring and summer. if we had a fall team, maybe 10/12 more games. so.....52 games total. i know that's on the low side, but weather had a lot to do with it. the max schedule for high school is 36.if i max out EVERYTHING,we might have played ....66/70 games. that's 15 to 18 year old. i have a 12 year old nephew, who plays select baseball....last year....95 games!!!! sorry,to many games. you can take all these precautions at the high school level, but unless you deal with the independent stuff,i don't know how much it's going to make a difference. and just for the record,i coached a select team, most games we played in a season.....40.
