I hope you all are right about this football team. I'm not seeing it!!!! We were told that this would be a strong team. Sliding by teams like e.k.u.,and a bad Missouri team......at home!!! , is not impressive. I'm not drinking the blue kool aid yet! But a win,is a win. I guess we will see. Good luck cats!

rjs44......Great point!!! Ernie banks was my first thought.I remember Steve Carlton in "72" with the Phillies, winning the Cy Young. He won 27 games that year. Philadelphia as a team won 59. Sometimes players are just that good,no matter how bad the rest of the team is. Hell,I'm showing my age!!! ....lol!!!

It's a free country,so do what you want. Me personally,i'm pretty much done. I've been watching the n.f.l. since the late "60's" . The whole protest thing was the last straw. [i am a u.s. navy vet] But i have been saying for the last 5 years that the league is going down. The quality of play has gone down. You can't hit hi,you can't hit low. They don't practice with contact anymore,then when players get hurt 2 weeks into the season,people wonder why players aren't conditioned better. Penalty's about every 5 plays. Bad officiating. Bad owners.Bad commish. Bad product!!! just my opinion. I will golf. Basketball is around the corner. [college,NOT the n.b.a.] Spend more time with my family on Sundays. Not a big deal for me. The n.f.l. doesn't give a rats butt about the fans,why should i give a rats butt about them. FORE!!!!!! ...... Later gators!!!

Personally, I really don't care who the Bengals quarterback is. I'm not a fan, so I don't have a dog in the fight. But just remember ,be careful what you ask for, you might just get it!!!! Good luck to them though.

As far as Dalton,you play a sport long enough,your going to have a off year. I remember the fans were ready to run Ken Anderson after the "80" season. He rebounds the next year and takes the team to the super bowl,and wins the m.v.p.. So maybe it's Daltons "off" year. The o-line is bad...not his fault. But he usually has hit open guy's in the past. As far as Kaepernick, he is his own worst enemy at this point. Lets not forget he..."opted" out of his contract. Could have gotten 14.5 mil to hold a clip board. And if he still was a option for teams, if not the n.f.l., why not Canada? His game is perfect for the c.f.l.!!! Do i think he deserves another chance,yes...probably. But not my call. As far as the Bengals,don't panic!!! But if they lose to Cleveland,you might want to re-think it!!!....lol!!!

Ok. I have read EVERY post on this thread. As someone who has no skin in the game...not a Bengals, or Steelers fan. I'm a lowly Browns fan! So that makes me the biggest idiot out here. It's still football! This stuff happens. My only observation is this , most of the Bengal fans complaining about the hit,and suspension, [ for the record,i think it's too much] lets flip the script on this play,and say that it's Gio Bernard,or Mixon getting thumped. I guarantee you all would be calling foul,and wanting something done. Bottom line.... with Burfict, when your on somebody's radar......you have to be better than about everyone else, or your going to get noticed. He got noticed!!!! And that's a fact!!!

The kid had already committed to make a play.Appeared to lose his balance.And besides,if he lets up on the play and Beckham fly's past him for 30/40 yards ,maybe a touchdown,he's probably looking for a job!!! First off, the hit on Beckham was NOT a dirty hit. If you look at the reply,the corner lost his footing a bit.actually slipped. so get over yourselves already. As far as Williams being the D- coordinator, hell yeah!!! Bring it on!!! This franchise has been pathetic for a long time. Bring some attitude!!!! Worked pretty well for the raiders for many years. second,i wish they would not start kizer till after the first four or five games. playing the Steelers,Ravens,and Bengals in three of the first four weeks is not doing the kid any favors. Also gives the o-line a chance to get use to each other,and get healthy. Couch,Quinn,Wheedon,Manziel. They pushed all these guy's out there when they weren't ready,and you see the results. If Osweiler is a bust after week four/five, which i think he will,then go for it. That way,he'll have a little time to learn from the side line with Hue Jackson. But,they will probably keep repeating their tragic history,and screw this kid!!! It's what the browns do.
