  1. After re thinking this whole topic, when you have announcers who have been around for a long time, you tend to grow tired of them. I'm sure there are people in Los Angeles, who thought Vin Scully sucked!!! 67 long, long years!!!! ...lol!!!
  2. Nothing. Do we know why he left, and where he went?
  3. After reading all the post on this,no matter who takes over, i guarantee most of you will still be complaining after a few years. If you don't like the guy,DON'T LISTEN!!! Sorry guy's. This is the only time i can vent. My wife won't let me...lol!
  4. Billups, should be on a list. The 49er's!!!! He helped them win a super bowl!!!! ...lol!!
  5. lol!!! I agree with both of you guy's. I don't like getting into a big "to do" on this site.Doesn't do any good. I've seen it happen before, and i will say,i've gotten into it myself. Something i'm not proud of...lol!! You can't debate each other by just posting messages. IMHO!!! I'd say if we really want to debate this, let's hook up at a local watering hole, and discuss it like men...if that's possible ...lol!!!
  6. Lets not get crazy with numbers gentlemen. Francis ,after his rookie year was pretty average the rest of his career. Was brought in to sack the q.b.. He did not have great numbers there. But comparing numbers between Burfict and Francis is not a good comparison. Francis was a outside guy,Burfict plays the middle. Burfict should have better numbers. That is what you expect from your middle linebacker. Francis had a solid career, but never became what they [the Bengals] thought he should have been.
  7. I agree Footmaster. Parrish,Riley,Casanova,Fulcher, all easy. Probably Breeden, then E.T. next group. Darryl Williams was solid, and underrated, imo. The rest...... it's a pick 'em of who might be your favorite. Noticed,no Neal Craig. He was a pretty good strong safety, who played with Parrish,Riley, and Casanova.
  8. I will give you that, after revisiting the playoff game,Hill, and Pac-Man were more responsible for that loss. Burfict has had a history though,no doubt, of doing some bone head stuff.Hopefully he will figure it out. My point would be,if you didn't see these guy's play,it's tough to really rate them. Just my opinion. I am lucky that i was old enough to remember this team when it started. You guy's are rough on the linebackers. ...LOL!!! Not every team in their history can have guy's like Ham and Lambert backing up the d-line. But i understand where your coming from. Just for the record,I 'm NOT a Bengals fan. So i have no skin in the game. Just enjoy football. Love the give and take guy's. On to the d.b.'s !!!!
  9. Will have to disagree with some of you. Did you see any of these guy's play? I'd say three,Bergey,Leclair, and Reggie Williams were as good,if not better than Burfict. the only thing Burfict has done...so far ,is help the Bengals lose a playoff game. I'll agree, not a great list, but there have been some pretty good linebackers play for this team.Again, .....it's retired players.
  10. Also,on a local level,Kara Sewell from channel 19 morning news is very attractive! IMHO!!! ...lol!
  11. For some reason,i have always been drawn to Anne Hathaway!!! Tall, brunette, curvy!!! I have never been into skinny women, but just well proportioned gals. Charlize Theron,i agree is hot!!! Never really noticed till i watched Hancock, the movie.
  12. Kevin is one of the best coaches, and people in high school baseball. If they wanted a great baseball guy,AND a guy who brings discipline, they got the right guy!!! Good luck coach Gray.
  13. Futurecoach, point taken. But we will never know! Thanks for the back and forth. Take care.
  14. Nice add of Tittle, and Perry. Totally forgot Y.A. played the the 9'er's before New York. Jimmy Johnson was also one i debated on. Great c.b. !!!
  15. And if brooks runs behind the same line,he puts up the same,if not better numbers because he caught the ball out of the backfield...better than Dillon. Imo. Look,we can go back and forth all day, bottom line,we aren't going to change our opinions.....lol!!! To me,they are both top 10 guy's. We can agree,to disagree. No problem!!! As i have said,i like the debate!
  16. Hatz, thanks for the input. Funny, just returned from my navy reunion in Norfolk. A good friend of mine, who i served with, is from Martinsville. Would you happen to know any law officers there? I know it's a long shot, but it's a small world....sometimes!!! ...lol!
  17. I'm going old school for some of you youngsters. John Brodie-qb, Gene Washington-wr,and Dave Wilcox-lb. I cut my teeth on the 49'ers in the late sixties, and early seventies. Sometimes we forget how good players from the past were. But,that's why we debate. Love it!!!
  18. Holman was the best"overall" tight end. Ross was the best receiver.
  19. Love me some Corey Dillon, but Brooks was better...imho!
  20. Love me some Charlie Joiner, but he only played three and a half years for the Bengals. Best year was his last. 37 catches! He went to the hall because of his years with San Diego. On the flip,i hate Chad Johnson, but he was a hell of a player. Got to give it up to him. To me,the only "true" number "85" in this franchises history is Issac Curtis!!! I'm bias,he is my all time favorite Bengal. Between him and Collinsworth,i don't think i ever saw them drop a pass.
  21. Thanks content. I figured the same thing, but if your going to simply say"no way" to a guy who is,in my opinion,a hall of famer,at least give me a reason. Oh well,on to the wide outs!!!
  22. Guess not......lol!!! Love the chat guy's. Whats next,o-line?
  23. I'd take either Anderson or Esiason, but curious, why a "no way" on Anderson? Did you ever see him play?
  24. Yes,only retired players. I still take Anderson and Esiason, over Palmer and Dalton.
  25. I stand corrected! Just remembered him playing linebacker also. You have a good memory, because "94" would have been the only year all those guy's played together. Krumrie's last,Wilkinson's first. Then Copeland, and Williams. Don't remember him called the "big cat",but you may be right. But i do remember they called him "the condor",because of his long arms. love the memories. Thanks.
