f.y.i the mustangs have very few kids who would play "select" ball. they have some solid kids,who need experience. that's all.weather these kids get better...or worse,only time will tell. they are playing UP as far as the competition!!! most the kids are freshman and 8th graders. not trying to rip knot hole, but.....lol!!! a lot of the teams are weak. player wise,and coaching.but i do know a lot of these kids just want to play.so cuddo's to all the coaches. it's suppose to be FUN guy's. let try to keep it that way!!!

not that it matters......but...lol!! i believe brossart finished 10-19 beating silver grove was their 10th win.

lol!!! all the other things that need to be tweaked in high school baseball,and the major problem with people are players making too much noise? are you frigg'in kidding me? there where some really annoying things that happened this season,but i put players getting loud way down on the list!!!! and i'm a coach!!! i think old guy nailed it in the first round of threads on this subject. the want to be's sitting in the stands.....that's annoying!!!! some of those people should here themselves!!!! AMAZING!!! good luck to all the teams in the tournament.

lol!!! all this talk about "pop" times,is really funny. the kid could have a pop time of 1.0,but if your pitcher is slow to the plate,your probably screwed!!! most of your bases are stolen off the pitcher,and most of you guy's know that.big key.....have pitchers quick to the plate,[slide or drop step] and developing pitchers moves to first.being around as long as i have,it amazes me how many kids think they have to step off the rubber to throw to first.and most schools don't try to correct it. don't see many schools teaching the turn-step an throw from the rubber.only school i know that worked on the slide step al the time was beechwood.now i guess it will be boone county. anyway...botom line,pop tines don't mean diddly if your pitchers don't help!!! just my opinion!!!! later gators!!!!

as for supposedly 35 guy's in the 9th region throwing high 80's to low 90's.....lol!!! if that was true the 9th would be crawling with mlb and D-1 college scouts. i think a lot of people don't realize how hard you have to throw a ball to get to 90 mph. REALLY HARD!!!

radar guns at ballparks are generally not accurate. usually off by 5-6 mph...on the high side.teams might calibrate them once a month. just what i've been told by mlb and college scouts. you want a accurate reading,use a jugs gun from a mlb,or college team.

lol!!!! bluetip and cooperstown are so right about mph,and speed times of players.be it coming from players,coaches and.......PARENTS!!!! as someone who has been coaching h.s. baseball for well over ten years,it amazes me how much importance is put on mph and speed. numbers!!!! that's all they are. i tell my guy's "you don't have to throw hard to get people out". give me a kid that can play the game.... a "ball player",any day,and i will usually beat you. just my thoughts. good luck to all the teams this year.
