  2. Looks like they have since corrected the error regarding it being his final season, since he'll still have one year of eligibility left after the upcoming season....but a couple of cool pictures of Jack, who was named 3rd Team Preseason All-MAC.
  3. Cov Cath is having the playing surface replaced over the summer. From the looks of things, they're opting away from the alternating dark green/light green stripes. Bummer. I thought that looked sharp. It gave the field a little extra "pop".
  4. For a school their size, possibly. But Trinity pretty frequently has 4 out of state teams on their schedule. Last year they had 6.
  5. I was out running some errands this morning and swung by a few stadiums that have had/are getting work done on them this spring and summer. Here's a look at Newport Stadium, minus its 84 year old concrete grandstand. I didn't walk over to take a look, but I think I saw surveyors stakes marking either footings, or utilities for the forthcoming stands, and they were starting excavation for that on what will be the north side of the new stands.
  6. Any word on whether or not South Warren has filled out their schedule?
  7. The Bethlehem and Marion County dates have flip-flopped since Washington County originally released their schedule.
  8. Fairview will be playing at Green High School in Franklin Furnace, OH on September 15th.
  9. I know the grade school is having some issues currently, yes, but I've not heard anything as of yet about the high school. As far as I know of, the parish does not currently have any real relationship with the high school...meaning, the principal of the grade school are employees of the parish, whereas the principal of the high school is hired by the diocese. So the pastor and parish business manager wouldn't really have much, if any say about things at the high school (although if the pastor is the chaplain at the high school, which may or may not be the case at St. Henry, then he would have some say regarding things in the religion department). Regardless, I don't think the high school would have much to worry about there, aside from a potential for a dip in enrollment should the grade school have a notable drop in their enrollment first.
  10. Obviously it's going to be tough for most teams located outside of Park Hills to come out of districts in the playoffs most years, but that aside, this looks like a pretty good schedule for Grant County. I definitely am wishing them the best!

  14. That's my take, as well. I honestly worry about the impact that will be had on St. Henry when St. Tim's in Union expands to include grades 9-12. I have four future SHDHS families that I know of who are St. Tim's members and are counting down the days (although there still is no hard timeline for a St. Tim's High School.)

  17. Bell County adds in an away game on September 8 against Perry Central, and that leaves Sep 29 and Oct 13 for their district game against Rockcastle County. Rock is already hosting McCreary Central on Oct 13, so that means it's Bell vs. Rock on September 29th.
  18. Am I hearing correctly that Johnson Central is filling in the void in their schedule with a game in Cincinnati on September 15th against Dohn Community? Woof....
