  1. Just saw on social media that Cov Cath currently has 157 enrolled freshmen with more students inquiring about transferring in as members of the Class of 2027. (I know this year has the biggest group of transfers from Covington Latin in memory, among others.) That will be a pretty notably boost to the current enrollment...which may have an effect on this next alignment. If the trend continues, we'll definitely see Cov Cath back in 5A soon.
  2. Who will be back in the state finals, even with a couple of teams in new classes? Anyone want to take a pre-season stab at the matchups we'll see in the finals this season? 2022 1A: Pikeville beat Raceland 2022 2A: Beechwood beat Mayfield 2022 3A: Christian Academy Louisville beat Bardstown (Now in 4A) 2022 4A: Boyle County beat Corbin 2022 5A: Frederick Douglass (Now in 6A) beat Bowling Green 2022 6A: Bullitt East beat Male
  3. I'll have to look around for pictures, but both Bellevue and Beechwood played for a time in the 70s with just a big "B" on their helmets.
  4. Dixie had this helmet in the first half of the 90s...red helmet with either a white or grey oval and "DH" in red inside of the oval. Then they reversed the look...metallic grey helmets with a red oval and "DH" in grey.
  5. Conner from the mid-90s...this was 1996. They just had a white helmet with "CHS" in blue lettering.
  6. Lloyd played in these Steelers lookalikes from roundabout 1986 up until 1990 or 1991. Head coach Rudy Tassini was a die-hard Steelers fan. I don't think they had any logo on either side, initially, and then they added the L with the three diamonds in a circle on one side of the helmet, much like the Steelers logo.
  7. They played from at least 1974 up to 1976 with this plain red helmet with a white face mask.
  8. Holmes played in this one in 1977 & 1978...the bulldog logo isn't easy to make out in this one, but it's different from the current. That was a red helmet with a white bulldog head.
  9. Holmes played in this one in at least 1982 and 1983:
  10. This was New Cath's helmet from at least 1973 thru at least 1976.
  11. Newport played with these helmets as early as 1976 (maybe earlier even) and then into the early-to-mid 80s.
  12. These shoulder pads say 1990s all the way. Any idea which years they used this design?
  13. I'm not positive of the exact timelines, but I know this was New Cath's helmet from at least the mid 1980s, and they were using it again as of the 2000 football season.
  14. Wellllllll crap...I guess I learned something new there. I know from just news around Twitter at the end of this last football season that CBS's app StatCrew has been discontinued, so don't waste your time there.
  15. PRP added transfer Don'Tre Richardson from St. X in the offseason. Richardson had over 500 yards rushing and 6 touchdowns last year for the Tigers.
  16. Schedule has once again been revised, adding the game against Woodford County back on the board in place of Shelby County: Aug 18 at Thomas Nelson Aug 25 at Atherton Sep 1 at Woodford County Sep 8 at Seneca Sep 15 - BYE Sep 22 at Fort Knox Sep 29 vs. Fern Creek Oct 6 at Washington County (District beginning 2024) Oct 13 at Lexington Christian Academy (District beginning 2024) Oct 20 at Shawnee (District beginning 2024) Oct 27 at Central
  17. 18. Anyone is welcome to correct me if I'm wrong (and I know just about zilch about stats software), but I believe I remember the KHSAA using StatBroadcast recently/recently-ish for their coverage of the state football finals. www.statbroadcast.com/stats.php
