Agreed. Rering has a nice set of post moves and a good jumper. He just doesn't get many shots.

I think he'll be fine. He's a hard worker, and a gym rat. He'll find his shot.

In order for Pendleton to have any postseason success, Gabe Antrobus will have to shoot himself out of his shooting slump. I believe he only has eight points in their last four games. Everyone knows what to expect from Monroe, but Antrobus has to be a second scoring option. When he is on, he is the best shooter in the region outside of Prewitt. He must put up 10-15 points per night.

I don't have any. Crawford and Ray were quiet all night for the Polar Bears though. Crawford had a few free throws, and I believe that was his only scoring. He fouled out with about 7 minutes left in the game. Ray had a couple buckets late. He may have had around 8.

This was Jacobs' first game back for Paris.

I believe that's correct. however, I'm not sure if it's due to the injury he sustained in football or just how choice.

I honestly feel like this is a rare occasion that a head-to-head matchup becomes void. That game was played at Montgomery County. I just feel like right now, GRC is playing better basketball.

I agree.I would think move Harrison and Scott up a slot and move Mason county down to 8th, and flip-flop Brossart and Montgomery and there's your 10th Region.

Now that holiday tournaments are over, and most teams have at least ten games under their belt, we should have a pretty good idea of what teams are surprising, both in a positive and negative way. I'll get the ball rolling with a few teams. Surprising: Madison Central- We knew they'd be good, but they're still undefeated, and look to be a top 5 team in the state. Clark County- They were supposed to be a middle of the pack team in the 10th Region. Instead, they're 12-2, won both of their holiday tournaments en route to ten straight wins, and look to be the second best team in the 10th. Woodford County- They're 9-5 with wins over Ashland, Tates Creek, and East Jessamine, all without star Jay Johnson. Once Jay Johnson returns, they could make serious noise in the gauntlet that is the 11th Region. Covington Holy Cross- They're 11-1, with two wins over Bowling Green, and a win over NCC and look to be the one of the favorites in the 9th Region. Simon Kenton- 10-3, with wins over Ashland, Scott, and Harrison County. They look like one of the favorites in the 8th Region, other than their blowout loss to Gallatin County. Disappointing: Bryan Station- Looked like they'd compete in the 11th Region, but have got off to a dismal 3-10 start, including 0-5 in Region games. Rowan County- Looked to be the class in a weak 16th Region after returning nearly everyone from their state runner-up team, but have gotten off to a 7-5 record, including a loss to 16th Region West Carter.

1-6 look right to me. However, Covcath 13th? Warren Central 20th? Rowan County and Montgomery County nowhere to be found? I just want one good, credible, informed top 25.

Coach Biggs sure was fired up when the refs didn't assess a technical to Warren Central. He was very lucky he didn't get tossed. He was headed directly into the lobby after the no-call at the end of the game as well. He was not a happy guy tonight.

Final from the third place game in the AIT. Ashland with a chance to tie it at the buzzer, and gets fouled on a three-point attempt, but no call. Corey Gregg was very quiet tonight. He was held to 11 points and 5 rebounds. Wetzel (?) and Withrow both had to have close to 25 for Ashland though. They are very nice players.

Final from the AIT. Obviously Christian County is down from last year, but they also only lost to Rowan County by 4 two days ago. Pendleton County finishes the AIT strong after a dismal first two days. Bad loss for Campbell County. I know Madison Central is very talented, but GRC only lost to them by 6. Doesn't bode well for their position in the 10th Region.

Eli Boggess is the name of the kid that is a very good shooter, on a team full of good shooters for Woodford County. I could have sworn they were announcing him as Eloy Vargas though.
