Coop, you are exactly right. These are exceptions and not the normal for the majority of players, but everyone remembers the exceptions. It seems to be perfectly alright for some of these parents when their children put on these displays. I can tell you this if my son, daughter or grandchild ever disrespected their coaches and teamates in that type of display they would probably not be playing long. Sure everyone loses their temper once in a great while, but all season long. Come on Man.

Most of the talent is viewed while wearing Parental Blinders Roman. It's unfair to the kids because they have been told they are the next Chosen One during their entire youth athletic career. Then when reality hits during high school feelings get hurt and the kids quit a sport that they have loved their entire life.

In your posts, why do feel it is necessary to put down other kids? I have noticed that you even say negative things about the kids who play on the same team as your son. I feel you should be happy for the accomplishments of your own son and stop making derogatory remarks about other kids. TRP - First welcome to BGP. If you are going to reply you should read the posts. I mean really read them. I have never isolated any player or made any derogatory remarks pertianing to a single player. I replied to a remark by Roman that I considered funny due to past comments. I have been a long time Conner supporter through good and bad times. The attitudes of some players are totally out of line and the disrespect towards the coaches is obivious by the players actions and remarks by every outburst of cuss words or throwing helmets and bats. These players do not respect the game or their coaching staff, which I'm sure starts at home. I don't know who you think I am but my children have graduated from Conner and are now grown men. You know what they say when you ASSUME something to be accurate. The actions of some of these players are embarassing to watch and I'm sure that most of the players are tired of seeing the same actions on a constant basis. These players should realize that playing high school sports is a priviledge and not a right. Parents should realize that as well. No single player is bigger than the team Arlo and his staff have done a great job with dealing with these attitudes from players and parents alike. Like Rhino commented, maybe you need a new hobby and retire with your single reply post. Good luck next week to the players and coaches in the Regional.

I wish someone would explain how a controlled scrimmage from last season between two different schools became your topic in a Simon Kenton Schedule 2012 post? I think someone from Independence needs to alert the Kenton County water district because something in #1 fans water supply has to be toxic. It is the only ting that makes sense. Absolutely correct. It would be difficult for the band to make their concession dollars and the girls softball would not get any split the pot revenue. There is a lot of financial factors to consider that most people would not understand. I think most casual HS fans would rather go to a school instead of Nippert, unless it was a game between nationally ranked traditional high school programs?

When games are played as part of Crosstown events @ Nippert, each team gets same amount of gate. Conner offered to play and allow Boone to collect both team gate dollars. In fairness, the total income would still be less than a typical gate and concesion draw from a home game against an old cross town rival.

Bulldog you and RU are exactly right. This man is an embarrassment to his old HS and hometown. In 08 I heard him publicly bashing Marksberry and the school system when they finished 4th in the district. It was at his restaurant before he changed the name and then the week before the State Championship he was praising the entire coaching staff. His picture should be in the dictionary under Obnoxious and Idiot.

Conner has 40+ games scheduled with several tournaments that will include minimum of 3 games each tourney.

Franklin County is a very good team team. Their skill positions are extremely talented and would win the majority of teams they face. The have to play the teams in their district, which is a 6 team district. So 1/2 of their games are manditory. Conner just stepped it up and played to their potential. Keep improving every week.

I'm sure Coach Trosper would not want you on the band wagon, too much dead weight would slow it down. Congrats to Coach Trosper and his staff.

With a team like FC they intend to score on every play no lead is safe. They could score at any time. It was not running up the score. Taking a knee on the 2 yard line to close it out is not running up the score, especially when you could have broke 90. NO it was not running up the score.

Until Kenton County stops the open enrollment across the county Scott will struggle to compete unless Coach Campbell can pursuade the youth players to stay at Scott. The new facilities will help him encourage the kids to stay put. They still have a long way to go.

What are you talking about??? Too cold...... are you nuts? When was the last time you watched a Conner game that ran power type football to only gain 3 yards at a pop? Apparently you have mistaken Conner's offense with someone else. Should be a very good game. Turnovers and limiting big plays will determine who advances.
