"Thrasher" is one of my favorite songs of all time.

John Wall dunks on Jerry Stackhouse
AshlandTomcat replied to TrueBlueWildcat's topic in College Basketball
Much more impressive than the Jordan Crawford over Lebron dunk. Now I know that Jerry Stackhouse is no where near the player Lebron is, but still it was over a former NBA all star who isn't that old. -
Is it still raining in Louisville?

My favorites from this list have been Liam Nelson in Taken and Edward Norton in American History X. Lets just say I wouldn't want to meet either of those two in a dark alley.

Best and Worst High School Football Memories
AshlandTomcat replied to pigman's topic in KY Football (High School)
Best - In 2008, Ashland beat Woodford County 54 - 44 in a CRAZY game at Putnam Stadium. Ashland had been beat 48 - 13 the previous season and several key defensive plays and a great game by then freshman Sam Hunter sealed the deal for the Tomcats. Worst - In 2006, when Ashland lost to Johnson Central in the second round of the playoffs. It was a devastating loss which the Tomcats could have won. -
:thumb: I just recently made the short drive up to WV to try Yuengling and I was very impressed!

John Calipari's website to end websites

It is working for me now. -
I thought we play you second. You open to Boyd County right?

Good point, I just find it ridiculous that they continue to receive BCS bids and get beat. They have not won a bowl game since 1994 and they get treated as if they are one of the dominant football teams of recent times.

Honestly, when is the Notre Dame love affair going to be over?

Actually, I just saw something about it on TMZ so we will see how this folds out.

I havent seen this information on any other sites. I for one am not sure about this.

Sounds like a little jealousy due to the fact that Russell got dominated by Ashland last year. Ashland is at a disavantage due to the fact that they have been playing with schools with a bigger enrollment then themselves. But in the 2012 season, I believe Ashland will be dropping down a class so I look for them to be back in the contention then. The fact that they got 2nd in their region last year after a 2-8 season makes me believe that they will be fine.

I also heard that upcoming senior Ben Stringer set a new team record for cleans in his weight division. If the Tomcats can continue to develop their line then I look for big things from Ashland.

North-Eastern Kentucky East-West Game
AshlandTomcat replied to Ram's topic in KY Football (High School)
I believe many Ashland players will not be playing, due also to various reasons such as vacations and lack of interest. -
Bill Russell. Plain and simple.

I think Taylor will do fine. This is his first year of being the only quarterback now that Glennon is gone, so he will finally have control of the offense. Plus, the "Wild Turkey" formation with Boone last year gave defenses a lot of problems.

I look for Virginia Tech to be a national championship contender. With 16 returning starters, and with Tyrod Taylor having a good amount of experience, I see VT going undefeated in the ACC.

16th Region finals- Ashland 8 Rowan Co. 4
AshlandTomcat replied to Bailey Howell's topic in KY Softball (High School)
Isn't this the third time Ashland has beat Rowan this year? -
Chris Lofton and Landon Slone were very different coming out of high school. I don't think you can compare the two.

Who won't be back at UK next year?
AshlandTomcat replied to Log Mountain Boy's topic in College Basketball
I thought Williams was already gone? -
Ashland is having a nice season this year, but they can be hard to figure out sometimes. One week, they beat Greenup then they lose to Russell, then another week they lose to Fleming County then beat East?
-
The O-Line is obviously the biggest question mark for Ashland. From what I have been hearing, Mark Ball has had quite a few disciplinary issues at school and at this point, I am not sure if he will be on the team come next season. Rashard Carter will also need to gain the trust of Coach Hart. Having plenty of two and three year starters on the team will be vary valuable, so that will most likely be the Tomcats strong point.
