  1. This is only my opinion and I have to defend the officials on this one. There is so much bashing of officials on BGP from cowards that hide behind fake names and blast officials. These officials work very hard to put the best product on the field. In general, we have a very good group in Northern Kentucky. We should count our blessings. I think that some of ya'll have to think about the officials in situations like this. I would think that it wouldn't be much fun to be watching the action on the field, while side stepping down the sidelines and get blind-sided by a coach, or even worse, a camera lens. Everyone has a digital camera these days and most of these schools allow anyone with a camera on the sidelines. It is out of control. There are way too many amateur and professional photographers on the sidelines. Sometimes, it's a circus on the field. I think that each school has to take responsibility and have their game administrator control who has a sideline pass. It is a privilege to be on the sidelines, not a right. In no way is it the officials fault for calling a penalty. No one takes responsibility for their actions anymore, it's always someone else's fault. I’ll get off my soap box now.
  2. Let me see...the refs cheated Cov. Cath on Saturday when ya lost and ya got cheated again in the JV game. I think I see a pattern developing here......
  3. If you were in the endzone, that means you must have been the umpire. I wonder why you didn't punch up a touchdown?
  4. At Holy Cross he does. There has only been two. He has never won anything......no way!
  5. I almost choked on this one. I checked the KHSAA here are some stats: Schneider 517 games, 338 wins 65% Hilton 418 games, 320 wins 76% Haywood 429 games, 319 wins 74% Redman 429 games, 307 wins 71% Glaser 360 games, 296 wins 82% Harp 381 games, 294 wins 77% Just because you have the most wins does not mean you are a good coach. He has been coaching since the days of leather helmets. jmo
  6. Beechwood's special education program is the worst in the WORLD! There is one reason to choose another school.
  7. Coach Rash was coaching on Beechwood sidelines too.
  8. There was at least one other that got significant playing time along with Staten, Evertt, Vocke, and Cruse. At times there were 5 or 6 sophomores on the defense.
  9. Dixie should enjoy the win. the have now beaten a 2A team and a 1A team. YAY for them. When the chips are down and they are playing teams in their district, the beat goes on, they will be out classed and out coached! :isurrender:
  10. I heard today that Cory Crane retired before his Junior year. Anyone know anything about that?
  11. I heard that they have somewhere between 11 - 13 players. IMO, that may not be enough to field a team. Anyone know if that is true?
  12. You Highland's fans are soooo easy!
  13. You silly bird fans are using the terms 'duck' and 'run'. Not I! And I am not talking about Thursday night this year. I'm sure that Highlands will win and run up the score as they like to do.
  14. Very serious! They spanked them in the Freshman Championship last year!
  15. From what I understand, it is only a 2 years series this time too. When last years freshman are seniors (in 3 years, a year after the series is over) Highlands will not want any part of them!
  16. Normally, there are not many sophmores that get playing time for Beechwood. Do you REALLY think there are some current freshman that are ready? I'm not so sure....maybe one or two....

  18. Why would past players be interested in raising money? That could be a hard sell. Wouldn't it be easier to start with the current players and current players familes? Is there still a Bellevue Boosters? I know when I played, they helped us tons!
  19. The good news is that they are doing something to keep up with the other teams in Northern Kentucky. I know that some of the other teams are working very hard.
  20. What do they or don't they do? Are they working out now (May 2009)?
  21. I agree. Rob Smith, former Highlands lineman recieved a scholarship to Tennessee. Rob grew up in Bellevue and Dayton. When it came time for high school, his dad moved to Ft. Thomas so that he could play for Highlands. I do not think that Rob would have gone to Tenn. coming out of Bellevue. Nothing against Bellevue. I do think he would have gotten a full ride somewhere, but that place would have been Eastern or Western or maybe even Kentucky. But not Tennessee and on to the NFL. This is just my opinion, but I do think it does matter. Maybe more so in some sports than others....but for sure in football.
