been that way for over 10 years now. They had 3 great coaches in Bob Sphire, Maurice Dixon, and Jay Cobb at different points in time and each had success. But basketball is king there and they won't do what it takes to sustain a competitive program.
It was actually Haynes and Cleary, the junior lefty that pitched for Catholic. But I agree they were both very impressive and proves Catholic has more than enough depth on the mound to win it all.
5 out of the last 7 state champions have come from the district. All 5 were ranked in the top 25. So yes 43rd is the best district in the state by far IMO.
New turf, Lights, storage facility and hitting facility are going up this summer at Lex Cath. It is true that donors tried in the past but the past President did not allow it. Its good to see a top ranked program finally get top ranked facilities.
