How terrible is Knott County? Got to be one of the worst in the entire state.

been that way for over 10 years now. They had 3 great coaches in Bob Sphire, Maurice Dixon, and Jay Cobb at different points in time and each had success. But basketball is king there and they won't do what it takes to sustain a competitive program.

Betsy Layne is doing some amazing things too. They are really taking steps to turn their program into a winner and I have been impressed and happy for them.

On a side note, I remember Cobb and Dixon coaching Knott, but I had no idea Bob Sphire ever coached there. Go figure.
