I think it will be wide open and attract coaches from across the state based on recent success. They lost a lot to graduation....but have been successful for quite some time now. Community support is VERY good----top notch job that should be highly sought after.

Interested to know if you were being serious? sarcastic? or stirring the pot?

I was/am a strong supporter of Boley for Ms. Basketball. But Creech would have probably been in my top 10. Other than that looks to be a list I could live with.

I was thinking about what I think you are calling less desirable. JV experience is helpful as well---but still a lot different than being varsity head coach at a pretty high level team.

I believe a program with the potential of Central should be able to get a coach with experience. It makes a huge difference! Newbies benefit from experience gained at a lower level???

I was corrected......Boley was Gatorade Kentucky Player of the Year.

Creech was Player of Year in her region and was at the banquet.

Hasn't Boley been named National Player of the Year?

I heard at the state tourney that Central coach and her family were moving out of the area.

This was a no brainer in my humble opinion.....

The crazy thing is that it could be a decent job. They are in a very tough district with Mercy and Bullitt East so making the regional would take an upset. But you could win 15-20 games a season there. They won 13 this year and had a lot of issues including an in-season coaching change. They just need to find the right person. I am strictly speaking from the basketball perspective.....I know nothing about the support or behind the scenes stuff.

I go to the tourney every year. I will continue to no matter where it is held. But I sure hope they move it back to WKU. Unless some underlying things that retro pop mentioned are there, what was wrong with BG???

Mccune getting hurt turned this game around. If she doesn't go out, this is a much closer game. Murray is very good just didn't see injury mentioned.

There are several first round games that look like mismatches (this being one of them). But it does seem like there is always one upset in the tourney that leaves people scratching their heads??? I personally dont think this is the one.....but stranger things have happened.

So EJ filled.......Casey open. I had heard that on Gilley as well.....but nothing that I have seen officially.

Let me ask a question......since it is obviously beyond the realm of possibility that kids end up at certain places for a reason.....How many times do you think open enrollment has ever been discussed involving the bottom 5 teams in any given region??? You choose a region......

No mention of recruiting----until you brought it up. When I say assembled, I am talking about kids from different counties ending up on the same previously successful team. Reminds me of Lebron, Bosh, Wade.....taking my talents to Highland Heights. I just choose to root for teams that do it a different way (and last time I checked, I have that right???). Sorry to strike a nerve!!!

Most teams have kids from 3 or 4 counties??? If they do, I will delete my post.

So when you Assemble a team they don't always win??? That's a shame!!
