Does Tabor play for a team outside of NCC?

Don't coaching staffs split up and cover several tournaments? Unless things have changed since last year the "Run for the Roses" Tournament doesn't look to shabby. These are "the few schools" that attended the "Run for the Roses Tournament" last year. Someone may want to tell those ladies that that they may not have to fly out to California to be seen by UCLA. How did the second teams look.

Who are the really good back-up QB's in Northern Kentucky this year? I assume Pike from Dixie will be in the mix there.

I understand that the junior all-stars will be playing the senior all-stars next month in Louisville.

Isn't he the age of a junior? If he's 16 years and 6'4 or 6'5 I would hope he would be playing varsity football.

Congrats to Boone! Their guards exemplify was good guards do, which is make other players on their team better. They penetrated at will and were able to dish the ball off to players a couple feet away from the basket.

NCC's success really all comes down to one player, (Courtney Sandfoss). She makes everyone on her team better. As long as she plays great they're fine.

That's a good point. This year in the two games against NDA they shot 84% from the free throw line going 48 for 57.

Well, if they held Allen to 5 in the first game and didn't win maybe they should focus on other players on that team who can also fill it up.

Highlands played much better than Boone did the other night and against a much tougher opponent. Though Highlands has certainly had less than stellar performances against much weaker teams this year, a carryover from Tuesday night will more than likely get them a win.

Well, sorry that Highlands defense didn't do much for you tonight. They only held a quality Notre Dame Academy team to 13 points under their season scoring average. I'm sure they're going to play Bradly or at least try to play Bradly the same way as last time when she scored only 5 points. Jackson is a great player and some players are simply going to get theirs. Maybe give a little credit where credit is do.

Highlands played a lot better team basketball tonight. If they continue to do that they'll be tough to beat. Bekah Towles was pretty strong for Highlands tonight. Allen hit a huge three when they were down by 4.

They say defense wins games. The numbers below show what each team gives up on average when going against other teams in this tournament. Good luck to both teams on Tuesday. Both have classy coaches and players and one even has a heck of a photographer. NDA may need to try to slow the game down a bit. I like their post player Walker. As long as she stays out of foul trouble NDA should be ok. For Highlands it will again come down to getting the ball to open players. From now till Tuesday the only words they should speak are "I am a member of a team, and I rely on the team, I defer to it and sacrifice for it, because the team, not the individual, is the ultimate champion." Sandfoss didn’t have a ton of points, but did a great ball distributing the ball to her teammates. If I were Highlands’s Coach during the next practice there wouldn’t be one ball bounced or one sneaker hit the gym floor. The two or three hours would consist of explaining to my team the importance of putting the success of the team above all else. That selfishness is a cancer that can destroy even the most talented teams. When Highland's head coach played she could literally carry a team on her back. Though there are very good players on this Highlands team there don't appear to be any of her caliber. Come out on Monday or Tuesday with the same mentality and they will go home regardless of who they play.

Maybe some St. Henry or Ludlow fans can enlighten me on this one. This to me was the most shocking score of the district tournament so far, (Boys or Girls). St. Henry nearly beat Highlands a few weeks ago. Though the score for the Highlands v. Ludlow game indicates a 20 point differential a Highlands fan told me the margin of victory could have easily been a lot more if Highlands’s starters were left in the game. Just curious what happened here. Congrats to Ludlow. You will have a blast playing at Kentucky Bank Arena. Well earned!

I would kinda disagree with ya there about the youth thing. Ryle has problems when they face a good post player. J. Davis got them for 18 last night. Earlier in the year when Moss was there Highlands B. Towles put up 19 most of which I believe were in the paint and had 15 rebounds. If Davis or Towles are playing for Ryle this year they stand a great chance to win the region. Ryle's achilles heel is not their youth it's really the lack of a bigger skilled post player. Ryle could have had 5 seniors on the court last night and they would not have won that game. I like Ryle’s program and players. They are one bigger, unselfish, fundamentally sound post player away from hanging a banner in that school. By the way this is no way a shot at the young lady playing that position now for Ryle. I think she is only an eighth or ninth grader. She way very well become the type of post player I mentioned above. My comments were about Ryle’s immediate needs in order to win the regional tournament this year.

Highlands will have to distribute the ball better than they did in the Dayton game, but should prevail in this one. I was really suprised by NC's loss to a Mossless Ryle team earlier in February.

What a heart breaker.

Do you know Panda if the favorite that year went into the regional tournament undefeated? For that matter when was the last time a team went into the 9th region tournament undefeated?

I would be suprised to see Conner win this one.

A sentimental prognostication perhaps

If Dixie doesn't win it all, then it will probably be Highlands. Highlands's two leading scorers combined for 8 points last night against the best team team in Northern kentucky and only lost by one point. If this happens to any other team in the 9th region the margin of victory is probably 20 points.
