Newport Central Catholic vs. St. Henry

Sanfoss played sparingly in first half and still had a ton of points and assists, I go with NCC because of their "Court-ney" pressence.

It will be a close game. Can't wait to see it. I think NCC will win by a small margin.

Since the loss to Ryle, NCC has been on a roll. I look for this to continue against St. Henry.

St. Henry was manhandled by NCC in the All "A". It was an extremely physical game. In that game St. Henry had 35+ turnovers. Both teams have improved since that game. If St. Henry can keep the turnover total under 20 this time, it's going to be a ball game. If they can keep the total under 15, I think they'll win. It's a tall order anyway you look at it.

Even though I have two cousins whose daughters play on St. Henry's team , I believe that Newport Central Catholic will win this game by 12+ points . Go Breds !! :thumb:

If St. Henry wants to be in this game in the 4th they will have to find a way to slow down Sandfoss which not very many teams have done this season. Also they had a huge number of turnovers in the first game against NCC and they will have to avoid the turnovers. Courtney loves to get steals which lead to a lot of easy layups.

AT this point, it's just an honor to be playing this deep in the season. I would venture to guess that if you would have asked the girls at SHDHS in August if they would expect to be playing in March, they would have said "no". However, they have come together very well and will have their toughest test of the season against a very good, and very HOT NCC team.

 

Here's hoping for a good game between two quality programs!
