Up and Coming Big Men in KY
Travis Montgomery is a great player! Why wasn't he on a roster already?

Conner 2009/2010
Conner should be very good next year with tons of talent like Stevens, Avery, Hodges, Robinson!

State AAU Tourney next weekend
I have to correct you "Perfect Practice" it was not "4pointplay" that mentioned Barnett it was "Nothing but the truth". Now lets get real here "Perfect Practice" and "Hanny Manny" are the only ones pumping up Flesch. No knock on Flesch but let the kid earn it. Its easy to put up garbage points at the end of games that are already decided.:sssh:

How does the team and or talent look this year?

State AAU Tourney next weekend
I don't agree with your view of talent or playing time. There is almost and no drop off when subbing in any of these kids in the right positions. They all deserve to be on the floor in the right positions. Many of the close games are lost due to unbalanced floor or tired legs. Unfortunately some kids don't get the same opportunities as others.

Up and Coming Big Men in KY
I wanted to let you know that Jack Stewart is a up and coming big man for Highlands. I was disappointed I didn't get to see much of him this week-end down at the AAU State Tourney. What I did see, when he got in, was very promising. He looks well rounded on defense and offense a force to be reckoned with.

Conner 2009/2010
Hodges will have a great year for Conner. He is the real deal. He needs to hit the weight room and get stronger like most 16 year olds.

You can also see the website on the nkybulldogs.com IMO Trammel is a point guard (1) Flesch is a point guard (1) Barnett is a point guard (1) combo that can shoot play (2) also. Allen is a (2) guard Fangman is a (2) guard combo can play small forward/(3) too. Stauffer (4 or 5) Hodges (3, 4 or 5) Stewart (4 or 5) Vollet (3 or 4) IMO you can't have your best 2 point guards in the game majority of the time, upsetting balance of the rotation. Trammel and Flesch should sub from each other at the (1). Allen and Fangman should sub for each other at the (2). Hodges, Stauffer, Stewart and Vollet 3 of the four should be on the floor at all times (3) (4) (5). Only exception would be Fangman moving to (3) to allow Barnett some time at the (2). Barnett could get a little work at the (1) too. Remember this is only my opinion and you know everyone has an opinion. IMO if they stuck to this rotation they would win the close ones and keep a balance on the floor.

I don't agree on the roster changes. I think this team is very strong. I believe these players are being played out of position. Only way this team wins the close games is to have the right combination of players in the game.

Mike Flynn to be Highlands next basketball coach?

I think the Northern Kentucky:popcorn: players all did well. It was good to see some excellent basketball over the week-end.

I agree that this team is stacked. Too bad the other more talented players on this team don't get the same opportunities to shine.

Beechwood 2009/2010
Aruppster what do you know about the Fangman kid? Have you seen him play or heard about him? Is he playing AAU? Handy Manny says he is 6' 2" that sounds like decent size. Is he a senior?

State AAU Tourney next weekend
I don't think you got my point or I didn't make it clear enough. I never said it comes down to coaching. I said that the teams that put ego's and stats 2nd and team 1st will win this week-end. Should be fun to watch.:thumb:

State AAU Tourney next weekend
My predictions: The coaches that put the best (team) players on the floor will win this week-end. There are a ton of great kids that can score in this tourney. The team and players that put there ego's aside and play as a team will come out on top this week-end. I will take a good team over a loaded super stars playing for stats. The "Me" first players may get noticed but hardly ever win Championships.

Ky Kids playing AAU basketball this summer
I heard the Bulldogs won a tourney in Louisville Hoops over the weekend. 2009 NKY Bulldogs: 5 Matt Trammel Dixie Point Guard 24 Zach Barnett St. Henry Point Guard 1 Jacob Flesch Conner Point Guard 33 Tyler Fangman Beechwood Combo Guard 22 Joey Allen Holly Cross Combo Guard 34 Todd Vollet Ryle Power Forward 31 Bobby Stauffer Ryle Center 11 Tyler Hodges Conner Swing Forward 44 Jack Stewart Highlands Swing Forward I have seen couple of their games over the summer and all these kids can play ball. Jack Stewart from Highlands has got nice size and is a force on the boards. Todd Vollet has a nice combination size, strength and a soft shooting touch. Tyler Hodges does a nice job on defense and is a tough match up for team with his size and ability to play inside and out. Bobby Stauffer works well in the paint and is hard to stop. Matt Trammel impressive ball handler and can score when needed. Tyler Fangman is a pure shooter that has nice size for a guard that can rebound. Sees the floor well. Jacob Flesh quick defender that can score when needed. Joey Allen good fundamental defense player that can shoot and pass well. Zach Barnett very quick and sneaky player does a lot of things well and can put up points in a hurry. Just some of my observations from the couple of games I saw over the spring.

Beechwood 2009/2010
I hope your right about Cruse being 6'6" and able to contribute with some size. I don't know if Hall is a true point guard I think of him more as a 2 guard. Who do you (bluegrass) think is the best ball handler and sees the floor the best?
