  1. I think Beechwood players wore down only having 6 players play in tight a game. Newport played several non-starters in earlier in the game keeping starters fresh for the 4 quarter. This resting starters for the 4th quarter almost always pays off. Resting starters does two things; keeps legs fresh and develops younger with big game experience for future games.
  2. Campbell has lost 4 in a row want to re-think that one?
  3. Great move? When is not playing and not trying to score become a great move? Sounds like something UC did against UK under Tony Yates. Play the game and let the best team win! I can see holding the ball for a last shot with a min or so but not with 6 min left. Great move I think not!
  4. Wow a slow down game by Code! That is something new in NKY! LOL Why do coaches in NKY with talented players that can run the floor, slow it down making it a chess match. It only makes for boring game and kids really don't get a chance shine. Why not get out and run the floor, if need be set up a offense that gets a shot off when shot is open. Not after 20 passes and a turnover. I never saw this game and glad I didn't. Sounds like this coach is over coaching.
  5. I agree Beechwood is tough. They beat Cov Cath, Highlands, Conner, Dixie etc. to a 12 and 3 record. The 4 senior starters are as good as anyone in NKY. (Maybe not Holmes?) However Beechwood is only going 6 deep, (1 off the bench) and this has proved to be the main factor in 2 of their 3 losses. However there are many tough teams in NKY and believe the teams with the deepest benches will move on. With fouls and injuries the teams that develope 8 or 9 deep will be the ones moving on.
