I agree Owen does have the talent to play with any team in the 8th. They proved that by only being down 1 to Anderson at the half, I know Anderson ended up winning big but if Owen gets hot they will be a tough out.

Not sure the point totals but Owen came out hot and really shot the ball well from behind the arc (Gamble 5, Marston 1, and L. Shelton 1). Colligan, Williams, and both Sheltons controlled the glass last night. Colligan was close to a double-double as Trimble had no answer for him inside.

Well Lindsay Slayback uses a Stealth and it really has a nice pop to it as well. She should be a top player in the 8th region. IMO Owen should have a nice year and a chance to win the 8th region tournament.

Owen got off to a fast start and took a 10 point lead in the first quarter, but Trimble battled back and had a 32-29 lead at half. The Rebels started to pull away at the end of the 3rd and had control of the game in the 4th quarter.

Yes, Owen has been very inconsistent this year, but Devin Duvall always gets his teams going when tournament time comes around. If Gamble gets hot, then that will open things up for Shelton and Colligan inside and no other team in the district can match up with Owen's height. Plus with Marston's ability to penetrate the lane, that will open things up for shooters. Owen just needs a 5th player to step up right now.

I disagree. I think Brian Sandlin has taken that title over the past couple of years.

If Walton plays in the district like they have over the past week, then I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them come out as 32nd district champs.

Timmy is a great player, but I have seen many games were he plays lazy. I guess part of that is because he doesn't have to play hard to win against 16th region teams but if they go to the state again and have a legit shot at winning he will have to step up, which i beleive he will.

My statement was a little over the edge. They wouldn't of won without a doubt I just beleive he would of made a difference. I just wanted to let people know that Wes was a D-1 prospect. I agree with you he was a moron by getting thrown off the team.

Franklin has played a very difficult schedule and only has 2 losses in state, that shows they have earned a top 10 spot in the state.
