Hazard 59 Knott County 57 (OT)

Final

Anyone have any details? I would think that these are two of the favorites in the 14th.

Would have loved to have been at this game. The game was played at Knott. Knott leads the series this season 2-1. Michael Campbell is back for Hazard correct?

How many did Tate Cox have?

Perry Central may have something to say about it, but I would say these are the two teams to beat.

Good win for Hazard.

I think on any given night KCC, PCC, or Hazard is capable of beating the other. However, Hazard has been more battle tested over the last couple of years than the other two. I see Hazard making the trip back to Rupp...

Michael Campbell is not playing for Hazard.

Hazard................12 12 16 13 6 59

Knott Co. Central..12 12 15 14 4 57

Hazard (22-7) -- Jones 10, Warren 2, Kidd 5, Back 15, Whitaker 16, Martin 9, Combs 2.

Knott Co. Central (21-7) -- Stamper 20, Cox 19, Bartrum 8, Ratliff 2, Amburgey 2, Caudill 2, Davis 2.

It does look like a 3 team race in the 14th. All 3 are pretty good IMO. Big win for Hazard.

I was at the game and it was a dandy. Hazard began in a zone defense but quickly went man after Stamper hit three 3's that weren't challenged. Hazard missed a ton of free throws toward the end. Hazard changed there starting line-up and started Kidd in place of Martin. They basically used six players throughout the game. Kidd did a good job on Tate Cox and Martin stepped up big off the bench. There were no losers tonight.

The Stamper kid seems to have turned it up a notch of late, was all Cox in the early season. What grade is he in,height, etc.? Also, is the Amburgey kid a transfer from JBS, seemed to have heard that last name from another school? Thanks.

Cox and Stamper are both very good players. Cox is a junior and I think that stamper is too but I'm not sure. Hazard's guards held their on last night against them. I don't know much about the Amburgey kid.
