Panthers Pick Downey - Madison Courier

He has coached at the middle school level and been a coordinator at the high school level. Never been a head coach at any level. He has done all his coaching in Indiana. From the outside looking in this hire is very strange and I believe Carroll County football took a step back with this hire.

Carroll County has hired Lee Downey as their head coach. He had previously been a cooridnator at Madison Consolidated High School in Indiana. He was out of coaching the past couple of seasons.

Trimble County will host the "Jim Hurst Holiday Classic" to honor the career of the legendary head coach of the Raiders. A ceremony to honor Coach Hurst will be held before the 7:30 game between Trimble County and Lyon County.

This was a very entertaining game to watch. Back and forth with several lead changes. Game could have gone either way.
