I have to disagree with this statement. Corbin gave them all they wanted for 3 quarters. Corbin has a really good team but had the unfortunate luck of drawing a quicker and better team.

Eastern looked pretty good last night. I don't see them having a problem in making it to Saturday night, IMO. The only flaw that I saw in their game is that they do not shoot very good from the free throw line or at least last night they didn't. Long, tall, athletic and a very good point guard!

I'll be there for all of the games and will be pulling for Elliott Co. I live in Harrodsburg so I will be driving back and forth.

All gyms should have locker rooms. But, a lot of middle school gyms will only have 2 which can cause problems during tournaments. The question I had asked happened during a middle school game thus the confusion. I say C but a buddy of mine says A. Dinner at Columbias during the Sweet 16 rides on this.:dancingpa

When a coach gets ejected from the game what must he then do? (A) Exit the building entirely (B) Go to the locker room © If no locker room is available can that coach go to the lobby or foyer?

This will be my 30th year of attending a full session. A great family tradition with my older brother attending for 33 years and my father with his 43rd year.

Cundiff was quoted in the Danville Advocate that he was looking forward to being back next season. However, like you I believe that he would leave if he could find another job.

I don't believe that he doesn't like football players. The players in question had little basketball skill (from what I saw) or had very bad attitudes excluding Jorden Yeast. I am not for sure why he quit the team this year but he was lucky to even getting the chance to play again after he quit the team last year. Mercer is building a bright future but they must have the right coach, administration support and fan support to continue the growth. Cundiff is a nice guy who gets a lot of flack for his coaching style. Should he be back? I say yes after what happened this year with his car accident. Spencer Tatum definately should not be the head coach. The man cannot coach which has been proven over several years at Harrodsburg and this year at Mercer.

An earlier press release stated that the gym would hold around 2400. I don't really understand this calculation because the old gym held 1700 and the new gym is a lot bigger. With that being said, the new gym is more than adequate enough to host the region.

I agree with the rotation part. This is really the only fair way to do it. But, the Pulaski and Lincoln rotation is better than just Pulaski. Yes, Pulaski has a better overall gym but Lincoln is a lot shorter of a drive for Garrard, Jessamine schools, Mercer, Burgin, Boyle and Danville. It seems only fair to totate it between south and north.

This is an incorrect statement. I can remember the region being held at Boyle, Danville, Lincoln, South Laurel, Casey, Wayne, Pulaski and Southwestern. Maybe even McCreary Central. Mercer will certainly being hosting a region in the near future. I would have to say that Lincoln is probably the middle of the region. The 12th stretches from Mercer Co. to McCreary Central which is a brutal 2 hour bus ride. Rotating the sites from North (Lincoln, Boyle, Danville, Mercer) to South (Southwestern, Wayne, Pulaski) makes sense to me.

I believe that switching refs is a good ideal. Coaches and refs spend a lot of time together during the season and for good or bad that relationship could cause a game to go one way or another. A perfect example of this would be the NCAA tournament. Duke doesn't get the same "homer" calls by refs who don't normally call their games. The only time that I can see this hurting a region is when they switch with a region who has bad refs to begin with. For years the 12th would switch with the 8th and their referees were terrible.

No way this happens! I watched Mercer destroy them last Friday.

I think Mercer and West Jessamine will come out of the 46th and that Lincoln will win the region. Mercer has the home court advantage for the district and Lincoln does for the region. Big advantages late in the year when you do not have to travel.

Good stuff! I forgot about Anderson whipping Garrard earlier in the year. Anderson would be the favorite if they played in the 12th but other than that I see these 2 regions as being even this year.

It looks like Lincoln is definately the team to beat in the 12th. Kinda stinks with the region being at Lincoln but that's the breaks!
