I figure that because it is the truth. According to college and pro scouts anyway. I mean I'm just a lowly spectator so I can only go off what they say. In NKY, AJ Smith and Isler are projected as 1 and 2, with some scouts having Isler as 1 and some having Smith as 1. I DO know he has only been able to thrown down the plate for the most part since his surgery until this past year when he was cleared to throw a curve and changeup and knuckle.

Agreed, I also think that when they encounter HC, they will do fine as well. HOPEFULLY lol.

Wellbrock lets ALOT of things into his head. He couldn't handle Pittman tonight. Thelen and Isler did very well all things considered against Pittman. Wellbrock just lets things get to him, including when he is taken out of the game. The show he puts on is quite entertaining... As for the bigs not finishing, it had very much to do with Pittman. Isler isn't a small or weak kid, we're talking about a 6'4 235 pound kid. But when you have hands above the rim, and another guy on you as well when youre trying to go up, it just isn't going to happen. They won't see another guy like Pittman this year. I did like some of the guards [Maschinot and Maile] ideas to look inside, the passes just werent there.

Big game for Thelen down low. He was in the right place at the right time and finished and really looked the best for CovCath tonight. That was a bright spot. Should move into the starting rotation, and although I personally think the lineup should be Ives, Maile, Thelen, Wellbrock and Isler, it is obvious L wants Maschinot in there, so IMO Wellbrock or Isler are going to be the odd man out. Due to Isler and Thelen having the most rebounds I'd say it will likely be those two in there. Maschinot will be a good guard in the next two years, but he needs to stop the one handed push pass. It just isn't going to work and it's time to break the habit now. Had a nice three. Pittman was basically a non factor tonight. To whomever said that he wasn't pushed around, he obviously was, and it was frustrating him. The look on his face said it all. I like Pittman, and I think he is going to do great thing; heck I think he is great now, but he has a lot to work on. His defense leaves a lot to desire. I was impressed with Ricardo and JJ tonight, and although Riley didn't do all that much that stood out, he played well too. I think CovCath shouldn't hang their heads. It was closer than I thought it would be, that's for sure lol. And the starters didn't make their way out of the game for Holmes until the last 2 minutes I believe. CovCath played really good defensively, they just flat out don't have an offense. Their offense is stand around, pass around the arc and throw up shots that really just shouldn't be taken. Ah well On to NewCatch.

I agree with not going on out him and see if he can make one or two first. If not, let him shoot it ya know? That is probably how Isler would guard him anyways, watching his man in the games, he watches the paint. I think if CovCath comes out in zone [which I'm almost positive they will] and it works, we'll see it the whole time. Holmes is too fast for man for us. Also agree on putbacks though. PUT A BUTT ON SOMEONE. lol

Understandable, I admittedly get defensive. But I just thought it was funny that you told him to relax and asked him why he is so defensive when youre the same way, and so am I and so is just about every other fan of their team.

lol, I am just going to throw this out, but is it possible he is getting defensive over one person having them #9 for the same reason you get in a tizzy if anyone says anything negative about Holmes or anyone has Holmes ranked less than 1. He supports his team, and he believes they should be ranked higher than you have them...:idunno:

Hopefully not well tonight. Outside of tonight's game, I really hope he lights it up. As for how he has done thus far, in the games I saw him, he was average on them. He can definitely shoot the ball, but is not an outstanding 3 pt shooter. ETA can probably give you more detail about it, lol..

Well gosh I guess that solves it! You're right, I am wrong along with everyone else who thinks Highlands isn't the clear number 2. You know the saying about those who assume right .

With all due respect, I'll comment on whatever I choose, because I paid my twenty dollars to be here ya know? And I DO know about them. I watched a wholeeeeee lot of baseball last season and I will do so again this season. I am, as blue magic told you, a CovCath fan and follower. I saw them play other times as well. They will not surprise any. And they won't be top 5. If they are, I'll gladly admit I was wrong though alright?

That was a sloppy ball game for them. They really didn't play that well. Maile played fine, but overall it just wasn't a good game.

Of course you would. lol a Highlands graduate and a Holmes fanatic. OBVIOUSLY they are 1 and 2. lol. Holmes is CLEARLY without a doubt, the number 1. No one argues that. Highlands? Na. They could get beat on any night by any team [as theyve shown], or they can win very well on any night. That is true for just about every team out there right now. There isn't a clear #2 because all of the teams can really actually beat each other at this point. I mean I don't see it happening, but Beechwood could very well beat Highlands Friday night. The same beechwood who only beat CovCath by 5, and lost to Campbell Co. and really hasn't played anyone outside of that. I think we have to wait and see before we go stating Highlands is the clear #2.

lol wow. ETA come on now? Beechwood staying within 20 points of Holmes at the beginning of the season and it seems like you crowned them from that point on. They beat CovCath by a whopping 5, and the BAD CovCath team was having a BAD night lol. They lost to Campbell Co who CovCath beat. I mean really? The game against Highlands will DEF. show them where they stand. I mean everything after Holmes is wide open. Ryle could beat any of those teams, and any of those teams could beat Ryle on any night.

Personally I think Henley should revise his game plan then, lol I'd go right for the guards. But HEY stick with that one. I'd much rather see some physical inside play, you know how I feel about that. I also agree that Pittman talking in Wellbrocks ear would get to his head, but Wellbrock needs to be able to handle that. I understand Pittmans game backs his mouth up? Never said it didn't. I am a fan of Pittman's. But IMO he should fine tune his play rather then worry about talking smack to people.
