Dixie matches up well with Scott! If Coach Chevalier doesn't go too deep on the bench, Dixie wins by 5 again. Dixie should only go 8 deep, yet he continues to go 10 or 11 and they lose continuity.
-
Good for him. Is he a lock down defender or was Trammel was just off, hes averaging double digits this season and he didnt score a point on Riley.
-
Riley is having a heck of a season and sounds like hes really leading his team? Does anyone know of any colleges looking at him?
-
Heard Trammel had an off night but handled the ball well. He was 0 for 12 from the floor? If he plays like he normally does is this a closer game or is Holmes that dominate? :idunno:

What do we do with them?

Just out of curiosity...who do you think "deserves" to be on welfare? -

Welfare was originally designed to help in times of need, not to become a way of life. How long does one need to pull themselves back up? We are demanding that our country pull itself back up overnight. I work in a school system and I will tell you there are more than you can imagine. They have become masterful at manipulating the systems that are in place for aid. If they would expend as much energy in learning a trade as they do avoiding working or working towards something we could have a generally successful country. I'm not saying there aren't those that simply cannot work...they get disability, medicare/medicaid, food stamps. -

I believe that everyone can be productive. For far too long in this country welfare has become a way of life and not a means to an end. Reduce welfare recipients to two years of benefits in which amount of time this country will also afford you education to learn a trade. The old addage comes into play give a man a fish he eats for a day...teach him to fish he eats for a life time. We need to focus on education and bring pride back to people and this country. Society needs to realign it's thinking about self worth. Anyone given the right "tools" can and will choose to be productive. Sadly enough there are those in this society that have fallen into generational beliefs of being owed and they are the ones who need to benefit from a little tough love..."you've been taken care of long enough...now it's your turn to give back." -
Holmes v Cooper Predictions (1/29)

Well in their defense...it's because most of the time they can put it in cruise control. But one time it can come back to bite. Most of them were there last year so maybe they will re-direct themselves come tourney time. -

Well if nothing else it will definately build charachter! I believe Henley will show class as usual. Not to get off the beaten path though, the only weakness I see Holmes having is the "appearance" of being disinterested in the first half of the game. They come back, but how many times before it becomes unattainable? I'm glad they keep it tight for their NKY counterparts! LOL! But when they go down state I don't want to see them "play with their food" (so to speak) -

With new schools like Cooper, do they have the choice of scheduling JV games only and not initiating Varsity play for the first season? -
Why do they absolutely HATE Dixie?

Really! Is there a formula to scheduling games? I know you have to play district opponents, but what about others? -

Wes Smith has been playing with more intensity and aggression for the ball lately (which is good to see). Really all that saw time on the floor contributed to this game...Trammell looks really comfortable at the point. Boese (sp?) did score much, but had a decent defensive game. Steven Pompillio is struggling at the FT line. Which, as we all know, can win games. Pike is a great contributor, but really needs to watch his actions on the floor..too many "noticeable fouls". -

Tell me more about Elliott County....I keep hearing about them. Sounds like from other threads they are totally under rated! -

Dixie has picked it up. They need to make their free throws!! Coach Schlarman gets the best from his team..very intense with his players. He is a good coach with good players. -

Everyone of you are blowing this way out of proportion...read post #11 and then post #22...follow the conversation....no one cares if they are "true" or not. If they are good enough to play...then they play!! Everyone wants to point out Pike's age status as opposed to his grade level....but when it comes to Hatton it's off limits??? Don't think so...Unfortunate as it is it will always be brought up, because whether you care to believe it or not it is an advantage, not just to the kid, but to the program as well..which is good for everyone. No one is taking shots at any of the kids. If facts are shots then this entire website is violating every kid. Don't use it to get on a soap box. -

Trammell had a really good game last night. I don't think he came off the floor. Pompilio is a work horse and Raleigh has been playing good defense. -

Hatton isn't a true 7th grader either....but.....it is what it is. And they are starting to play well together. -

Zeke has really been struggling from the free throw line. Recently, he had went 2 for 12 from the charity stripe. I think this is the reason Chevalier sat him the last few minutes in the Newport game. -

I think it is more possible now than in the beginning of the season. St. Henry is good!!! Never should they be underestimated in anyway. All you can ask for is the best game from both teams. -

Well it looks like Dixie shut him down. And as far as Dixie not being good.....well...obviously a matter of opinion. They are young, but they do have talent. They have won 3 of the last 4... beat NCC and Newport and now Scott.
