  1. Maybe high school athletics should now require a heart sonogram to be performed once a year to keep check. Such a sad situation. My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to this young man's family.
  2. Trammel played awesome defense tonight! He guarded Downes the first half and held him to 2 points. Stanley had 12 points in the first half so Coach Chevalier had Trammel guard Stanley the second half. I believe Stanley had 0 points in the second half and that's when Downs got the rest of his points when Trammel wasn't guarding him.
  3. Highlands is always a class act! Good families, good coaches and a wonderful school.
  4. Kind of got off the beaten path. Hats off to the Blue Birds. It could have been their night. Great coaching..great kids. Stewart is a wonderful kid both on and off the court!
  5. Go find this book. Good read. http://www.amazon.com/King-Kelly-Coleman-Gary-West/dp/0977319806/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1299209467&sr=8-1 Thank you!! I will. Love this game!
  6. My philosophy is never say never, however in this case...maybe never. What school and year did "The King" play?
  7. Oh well...I guess I was shooting for the stars for him...he is still fun to watch!
  8. Holmes is not too shabby and on any given day it may be a battle, but I think the edge is in favor of Dixie when it comes to perimeter shooting. Chris Hayes is an awesome player for Holmes and would give anybody fits.
  9. Hatton is as tough as nails and Trammel is so smooth and together make up the best back court in NKY!
  10. WOW !!!!!!! I thought Hatton may be on track....maybe not.
  11. Unfortunately.. Dean is charged with the turnover..I know it seems unfair, but unless the player receiving the pass maintains possession the one who passed the ball is charged with the turnover.
  12. . Does anyone know who holds the boys high school scoring record for all teams in the state of Kentucky?
  13. My guess is that Pike will be guarding Stewart and Trammel will have Crowley.
  14. Dixie looked like they were having fun tonight...great commroderie among teammates. Good luck to them in the regions. Congratulations to the 34th District All Tournament Team selections...all good kids :thumb:
  15. I saw this article..it was nice for Kellen Smith, but over shadowing for the others. They should have had a seperate article.
  16. I saw Jeff Rogers, Head Coach for Thomas More, talking to Trammel after the game..that could possibly be a good fit.
  17. Dixie plays great at home, but always seem to come out a little flat in the second half...hopefully they can put together a solid 4 quarters and beat a good Boone County team. I think the key is keeping Brown outside of the blocks, limit second chance stick backs. Pike has to stay out of foul trouble. Hatton, Stansberry and Trammel need a good shooting percentage.
  18. Trammell is the unsung hero for Dixie this year. He doesn't put up huge points but leads the 9th in assists, 3rd in steals, shoots 80% from the line and controls the game. He just does the intangibles that makes the team successful. They will really miss him next year!
  19. Thoughts and prayers are with him!!! Great man and coach....get well..and get back to the team!! :thumb:
