Raiders have dropped 3 perfect passes and have had too many penalties, but Nate just threw a beautiful 31-yard TD pass to Dylan Lee on 4th and 14. 22-0 Ryle with 4:25 to go til intermission. 99-yard TD drive. Total domination by Ryle.

Outstanding punt and coverage pins Ryle at their own 1. In 3 plays the Raiders are in GC territory but a dead ball 15-yard penalty brings up 3 and 18. However, Verax hits Lee for a 25-30 yard completion.

I'm really surprised that the Camels scored 21 on the first half after watching them get destroyed by Ryle last week. They could not move the ball at all on Ryle's first team defense.

Nate Verax with a 1-yard sneak for a TD. GC jumps offside on the conversion attempt, so Ryle calls a TO to line up for two. Beast mode Savage punishes some GC defenders for an easy two points. Raiders 15-0 with 11:56 remaining in the 2Q.

Jacob Savage had about an 8-9 yard TD run on Ryle's only possession. End of 1Q with the Raiders first and goal from the GC 1-yard line. 7-0 Raiders.

Looks like a jail break on every passing down with Ryle putting great pressure on the GC quarterback. That doesn't bode well for the Warhawks if they get behind.

Two 5-2 teams square off at CR Borland Sr. Stadium in Union Friday night. In all likelihood, the winner becomes district 6 champs in 6A. Great Crossing came from behind to take down SK in the district opener, while Ryle played a dominating half of football to put a running clock on Campbell Co. in the first half. Ryle has played 5 teams with excellent speed and skill at the playmaker positions, so GC's speed is nothing new to the Raiders' defense. It will be a perfect fall night for the game, as we welcome the Warhawks. I'm going with the home team. What do you think?

Brady is a really good high school quarterback. You would not expect to lose a game where your QB has a great night.

The team speed variance was obvious last night. The Camels were "out-athleted" all over the field. If you switched coaching staffs, Ryle still wins the game handily. Is coaching the issue or are there a lot of kids that don't want to play in a struggling program?

Congrats to Ryle on the dominating win. The running clock started with 1-2 minutes left in the first half. Camel starters scored two TD's vs Raiders subs in the 3Q. Looks like a long season in Claryville.

I thought Campbell would look better with the QB back. They have no chance based on 1Q domination by Ryle.

I think the Camels really good QB is back so I expect a closer than expected contest. Ryle tends to finish games strong. Great night for football!

6A district play starts with the Camels visiting Union. Campbell comes off of their open week with a 2-4 record. I'm not sure if their original starting QB returns, but that would be a big boost for CC. Ryle has played a challenging schedule and comes off a 31-24 loss at St. Xavier. The Raiders have played well in the second half of games. Last year, the Raiders had to come from behind late to defeat the Camels. Ryle looks to start a winning streak and should take care of business Friday night.

Good second half for Ryle and the Raiders fell a little short. Two big plays were huge for St X. Outstanding effort by both teams. Fun game to watch.

Excellent schedule substitution by SK. The PLD game would not have challenged them. Obviously, this game will challenge them. Although I picked Ballard based on Fern Creek winning a shootout at SK last year, I prefer to see the Pioneers earn a W.

St X is the clear favorite, at home and carrying the state's #1 ranking in 6A. Ryle has played in spurts and not come close to putting together a complete game. In order to pull the big upset, the Raiders have to be consistent for 48 minutes. That's easier said than done against a really good team like St. X. I like Ryle's schedule. It's always great to test yourself against top-level competition. Best wishes to both teams and a few lucky bounces for the Raiders!

Congrats to CAL. I was very impressed by them when they played Ryle. I love watching Hodge and Company. It's not a one-man show but Connor is the straw that stirs the cold beverage. I don't see anyone in 3A touching them as they take another state title.

I totally disagree. Conner would not beat any of those 4 teams. You will have a chance to see how they fare against Cooper and Highlands and see how that goes.

Hatfield started at QB and then they tried another QB after the game was out of hand. It was a first half running clock with Hatfield at QB. Ryle dominated and shut him down.
