  1. I think, if I remember from another thread here on the boards, NCC did. Later.
  2. I understand that Coach Berner is workin' things hard.......but you'd be amazed at the number of boys I've spoken with this week that have said something to the effect of......."so and so says that Murray plays a week schedule" and that kinda talk isn't good. We've talked about this before, it doesn't matter who who's played, Fort Campbell has the 4th toughest schedule in 2A Kentucky and OC embarrased the Falcons in front of the NFL Films camera crew and staff. Personally, I think schedules come into play for people that like to play around with statistics and rankings. I'm not concerned with our Falcons being intimidated by the big boys of Murray, I know our guys don't get intimidated.....even with a losing record, they still have that 'swagger', but swagger doesn't win games. The game of football is played on that field and we both know that those Falcons need to play GOOD, mistake free football in order to play again on 19 November. Later. Go Falcons.
  3. If I remember right, Murray had the EXACT same unimpressive schedule last year. It doesn't matter who's on the other side of that field, or what their record is, or who they've played, what matters is who walks out of that Fort Campbell Falcon locker room on Friday night. Those boys CANNOT think an unimpressive schedule is going to make this game any easier.....so I certainly hope that nobody is feeding them those kinds of thoughts. I highly doubt it would come from Coach Berner. The Falcons have to play much better this week than they did last week to win this game on the road, in the tough confines of that football stadium. When it's all said and done, the better team on THAT NIGHT will walk off of that field the winner on Friday night.......I know that our Falcons can be that team. Later.
  4. I can't vote against my Falcons.....but they're gonna have to play MUCH better than they did last week against Trigg to beat this Murray team.....deceptive schedule or not. Later.
  5. Who wins this playoff game and why? Later.
  6. The Monroe County Falcons advance to the next round by beating the Fort Knox Eagles by at least two TDs. Later.
  7. Good win for the Falcons last night. Tre was well past the infraction when it was called, didn't really need to be called, but oh well....it is what it is. The Falcons need to play much better next week against Murray if they want to advance to the next round. Murray's boys are big, and they won't go down easy.....initial contact needs to be the tackle to bring down the ball carrier. They can't rely on Aaron Hills to carry this game. There MUST be a team effort with NO mistakes. Certainly wished the circumstances would have been different and they were coming here, but at least I get some Carver's out of the trip. Go Falcons, finish the mission! Later.
  8. It's been said before, there's no reason to pick AGAINST the Monroe County Falcons in this one. They'll get it done on Friday night and advance to the second round. MC with a two TD victory. Later.
  9. I can never vote against my Falcons.....but they've got to knuckle down and play mistake free football to win this game and continue through the playoffs. Lots of pressure on them to repeat, and the season didn't go as planned.....but they've got to look at things differently. Don't focus on the end, focus on the present and each play. Win the possession. Win the quarter. Win the half. Win the game. Later.
  10. Who wins this 2A playoff battle and why? Later.
  11. I'm calm, the rankings don't mean much to me, like FalconBacker said........ Later.
  12. Tonight's the night. I'm lookin' forward to some Falcons Football!! Later.
  13. Falcons take it in a dogfight. Later.
  14. I'm interested in knowing the three higher teams, not doubting, but just curious. Later.
  15. True. He lines up at WR, but can play any position on the field except what FC mentioned. Later.
  16. :irked: *Can a moderator please change Owensboror to Owensboro in the thread title? Thanks.
  17. What is your prediction and why in this 2A District game? Common opponents: Hancock County and Todd County. Fort Campbell beat Todd County by 61 and Hancock by 27, OC beat Todd County by 47 and Hancock by 17. I say FC by one touchdown in a high scoring game. Later.
  18. This was a good game/win for our Falcons. Not as many mistakes as we've seen in the past, but there were definitely some made. This was a very hostile environment for the boys as Hancock County fans line the fence on the visitors side and yell at the players, not very sportsmanlike for the fans.....but our boys shut 'em up quickly. The boys are starting to come together and I'm sure they'll be ready for next week's game, the toughest 2A challenge of the season in the Owensboro Catholic Aces. Later. P.S. The pics are up on the Falcons Sports FB page too.....my wife took 'em this time and she got some pretty good ones!
  19. Anyone know a good spot to eat near the school? Later.
  20. Fort Campbell hasn't lost a 2A game in some time......and I don't think they lose this one. They played a pretty good game last week against a (better than last year) Todd County team and I feel it's the confidence boost that they needed. Later.
  21. Who wins and why? Your thoughts please....... Later.
