True, last year's talent wasn't on the same level as the Falcons of the previous two years. This team has some good players though, keeping in mind that many families have PCSd (or moved onto post from the surrounding communities) to Fort Campbell since last season. Like FC said, this team has the talent, but they haven't really put things together yet....when they do, when they realize thier potential and play to it and the leaders step up, they'll be fine. I'm not saying that they should be just as dominant, but what we're seeing is nowhere near as close. Like I said, the talent level is NOT that far off. The 07 season started at 0-2 for the Falcons, but they finished the season as State Champs....that team in itself was different than the two that won in 08 and 09. Different quarterback, different starting backfield, different defensive backs....much different, but there was leadership to go along with that talent. I'll be brutally honest (and not for you, but just in case some of our Falcons are reading this). There is a/are player/players on this team that have the talent, maybe even more so than some key players from the previous seasons, but their leadership skills and overall attitude towards what it takes to be a teammate are seriously lacking. Their leadership and attitude is NOT displayed well, not to the fans in the stands, to me on the sideline, or (and most importantly) to the younger players that look to them to see what to do. I will be completely honest with you....I think it's a combination of both. I lean more to the lack of leadership issue than the talent. Fort Campbell has some talent, not as much as the teams that threepeated though, and because of the the lack of leadership....they don't play to their potential. Just my two Lincolns. Later.

I couldn't agree more. Very nice to get a win, but there's still some fundamentals that need to get sorted out. It's either feast or famine for the Falcons....they're either losing big or winning big. Big wins against subpar (yet improving) teams don't really show us much. There were some blown coverages, missed tackles, bad snaps, and silly mistakes made.....those kind of things can't happen against a tough Christian County team. Later.

Opening kick of the half was taken back 83 yards for a TD, extra point is good. Falcons: 34 Eagles: 6 11:48 left in the 3rd qtr.

27-6 @ half. Defensive penalty by the Falcons with no time on the clock giving Knox the ball on the 46, they went for the hail mary but it was intercepted and ran back for another Falcon TD. Extra point was blocked.
