Wow last year I saw Rister come in for Greenup when Craft got hurt or when they were down a large amount and knew he could play and put zip on the ball, (IMO he should have started the last few games for Greenup just to get the feel of Varsity football.) so when i saw #14 out there last night i thought to myself, "Rister has really stepped his game up". Only to find out midway through the 3rd quarter that Farley was in the game the whole time. If Rister is suppose to b the starter and if he is even better than the Farley kid, then everyone on the schedule better watch out! (Other than Ashland) Lol. All in all, Raceland played well, I think they could have tackled a little better but other than that they looked good. They have an explosive offense as long as they stay consistent. The only trouble they should have on the schedule this year is the two games everyone is talking about. LCA and Ashland. I think ashland may have a little too much ground game with Alber and Carter in the backfield. Raceland couldnt even stop Arthur, and Carter only got 3 touches against Greenup so hes BOUND to go off for 200 or 250 with 2 or more touchdowns, And alber is a monster, end of story. But at the end of the day Raceland is a good ball club and u can bet ill b at Ram Stadium come Friday. Good luck to both teams but i feel like Ashland will come out on top of this one in a close game.

Does anyone have any stats? What did Carter rush for? How many touches? I'm sure they pulled him at half time or midway through the 3rd

Lofton needs to be at the top of everyones list. I'll never forget the Mason county Lex Catholic game his senior year @ Catholic. The gym was packed and i was right down on the floor when he pulled up about 5 feet behind half court with 2 hands in his face to force the game to over time and pull out a win in OT. Best high school game and best Kentucky high school basketball player I've ever seen HANDS DOWN!!. Big ups to Chris Lofton. I dont know what he'd doing now but hopefully he's over seas somewhere.

After watching the Holmes game they've got my vote for best in the STATE!!

No way. Scott county has plenty coming back. Plus you know there will b some transfers come next summer.

I was at this game tonight. Holmes has athletes but they need to learn how to make free throws down the stretch. IMO they were ranked to high to begin with. I believe Scott County will have their way with them. On the other hand Bryan Station looked good tonight. I think they have one of, if not the best guard tandem in the state in Morones and Ashford. They handle the ball well, shoot it well and make big plays and free throws in the clutch. If they continue to play like they played tonight there's a good chance they will make it to Rupp.

Does anyone by any chance have a link to Elliott's schedule? I wouldnt mind watching them play a few times this year.

:laugh: I went to a few Wurtland games last year and never saw anyone come close to scoring 26 points. Not even Jackson and he was by far their best player.

How can 12 or 15 wins be the best season in years when the 2006 team won the district and beat Russell, (which is a huge rivalry) all four times they played?

Hampton, Baker and Williams sounds like one of the best Inside games in the area if u ask me. IMO Greenup shouldn't jack up so many threes anyway because they don't have the best shooters. But Fraley has a high basketball I.Q so I'd say he'll be driving the ball to the whole and dumping it off to the big men alot more this year.

I've heard the same thing. Someone told me that Morones picked up some weight and decided he wasn't going to play this year. But I don't understand it. He shoots the ball well, handles it like a true point guard and gets to the rack with ease. Plus he's listed in the top 25 in the state so i can't see him throwing his senior year out the window.

Greenup will struggle this year. They're not very athletic.

::laugh::laugh:laugh: You're kidding right? I've watched Jackson and Linthicum both embarrass GROWN MEN at the YMCA numerous times over the summer. They're both more athletic and talented than the two you've mentioned. And anyone who knows anything about basketball in greenup county will tell you the same thing. Jackson and Linthicum are just better ball players hands down. There's no argument. And to you Rock, no the fans won't like seeing all four on the floor together but I feel that Fraley will keep the better players on the floor. Yes politics DO play a big part in all greenup county athletics but if those boys dont get to play together then everyone who has part in it should be ashamed.

Oh, he'll come back. Trust me, every good player wants to play for a good team, and I dont see much talent in Raceland's younger class

I'm not knocking Greenup but there's no way they're 3rd or 4th in the 16th. The talent of the upper classmen is LIMITED. Give Fraley credit though, he rebuilds programs. Greenup will struggle this year and maybe the next but wait till those sophomores become seniors. You'll see what I'm talking about. Greenup's 2011 class is tough. BTW there's a kid by the name of Darius Jackson who is a freshman at Raceland now but resides in the heart of Greenup. I watched him play as an 8th grader and he is BY FAR the best ball handler and passer of his class in that area. The kid is a floor general. If he comes back to Greenup, they will be the total package in 2 yrs
