  1. Larry I don't agree that Manual's QB will be the difference against St. X. tomorrow night. In two games last year he was 7-21 for 152 yards and in the playoff game he was 9-17 for 114 yds. Manual lost wide receivers Cooper and Cosby from last year's team. These two accounted for 10 of the 16 completions last year.
  2. St. Xavier 41 - Manual 7....this is a powerful bunch of Tigers. I have been tremendously impressed with the way Matt Brutscher throws it downfield to an array of receivers. Duece Finch and Jeremiah Neal are a potent set of running backs that will be extremely difficult to contain as Brutscher has totally opened up the running game with his ability to throw it deep. No defense will be able to put 8-9 people in the box anymore.
  3. The Trinity play by play guy is always way behind on his call....never identifies a formation. It's hard to follow the action until after the play is over when he describes what happened.
  4. To state that this is the best Trinity defense in the past twenty years really discounts some great individuals and teams who have proven their mettle over a season. Give this team some time to show its mettle. It may or may not be the best defense of the Coach Bean era at T.
  5. St. X 42 - Male 14. This will prove the gap does exist in 6A. It is the Big 2 now and way down the ladder to whoever takes the #3 spot. Male? Manual? Scott County? Time will tell.
  6. St. X has run it over the years in goal line situations. Joe Tronzo was a devastating blocker in this offense for Victor Anderson. This year they could have a wishbone backfield with Deuce Finch, Jeremiah Neal and Devontay Beach leading the charge.
  7. St. X 70 - Oldham County 7....This is a deep bunch of talented Tigers.
  8. Trinity 38 - Purples 10....Bowling Green lost too many talented 2 and 3 year starters last year to compete with the Rocks this early in the season.
  9. 7 St. Xavier 5 Belfry 3 John Hardin 2 Meade Co 1 Central tiebreaker - St. X
  10. St. X was up 34-0 at halftime as two HC passes were intercepted and run back for touchdowns. I think the final score was something like 60-6.
  11. John Spears and Tony Burke have become quite a formidable team. I really enjoy listening to them. John is excellent at setting the formations and quite good on play by play. Always on top of the action.
  12. Can anyone give any factual data about the two teams?
