  1. The kid was academically ineligible. This was not Coach Johnson taking a stand. No need to applaud a coach for his player not having the grades to play in the Regional tournament.
  2. I wouldn't say they missed a lot of easy shots. Looked like they forced quite a few bad shots. Too many 3pt attempts early. Let Talbott get to the basket. Should have probably zoned them and made Talbott shoot the ball. He is too dangerous off the dribble.
  3. He didnt have a choice--kid was academically ineligible. Not sure Carson was EVER academically eligible.
  4. 1.1 Madison Central 1.2 Lafayette 1.3 Henry Clay 1.4 Lexington Catholic 2.1 Madison Central 2.2 Lexington Catholic 3.2 Lexington Catholic TB1 - 202 TB2 - 115
  5. I will take some heat for this but how about only district winners going to region? That would make district championships much more important and meaningful. Could still have a region with a final 4 type set up, 2 games on Saturday and finals on Monday (not necessarily those days)
  6. Lexington Catholic PG-Davon Davis-Led LC to state finals in 1992, nice career at Transy SG-Demetrius Greene-Led LC to state title in 2002, played at Middle Tennessee State SF-David Graves-Led LC to state semi finals in 1996 and 1998, scored over 1500 points at Notre Dame PF-Mort Fraley-Played in the 60s, signed with UK, only LC player to do so, never made it state tournament C-Frank Kornet-Led 1985 team to state tournament, lost 1st round to Mason Co, nice career at Vandy, 30th pick of Milwaukee Bucks in 1989
  7. Was there sitting with the Johnsons and it was definitely NOT Tanners mom, can not believe someone would even accuse her of that, the incident occurred on the other side of the gym
  8. Yes, Frank Selvy played In the NBA and was the 1st overall pick, played most of his career with the Minneapolis/Los Angeles Lakers. Not sure of the years he played but believe it was late 50's to late 60's. Also had a 100 point game at Furman, not sure of his high school career though. He is the uncle of one of my best friends so that's where I got my "facts"
  9. Please fill us in on the "whole story". Who was on the interview committee? What did this process look like? Educate us.
  10. Usually when a coach steps down mid-season an assistant takes over. In this case the school goes with someone that is coaching at a different school? Was the job posted, or did Daddy just hand it to his son?
  11. The school can not keep a coach. 5 coaches in 4 years. If you are looking for a problem at that school, just look at the Admin. (Principal/AD).
  12. Hearing the current AD Tony Sosby is giving the job to his son Nick Sosby (former Bourbon County assistant who is now an Asst Coach at Sayre). It has been rumored that this would happen sooner or later.
  13. Wrong-- it'll be 5 coaches in 4 years. Bordas, Goodman, Martin, Eades and his replacement
  14. Any truth to the rumor Bob Eades resigned at Bourbon County?
  15. Would be the first time LCA has ever made it out of the district! They have never been to the 11th Region Tourney...ever.
  16. wow, admit your wrong, but give a 500 word response full of excuses......
  17. jordan Smart was 8-8 on 3s in that game vs Bryan Station, no help from refs
  18. You heard the game, I saw it, I have no problem with opinions on here. However when facts are grossly distorted, (5 technicals, and by your account Ligon and Combs would have been ejected getting 2 each) I really struggle to take anything seriously, one of the big drawbacks to online forums is that anyone can post anything, true or not
  19. I wish that their regional game against Bryan Station during Mack's senior year wasn't "pretty bad" when we're talking about the calls (and that's in the words of more than a few people... I think there were 5 T's on Station, including one on Mack, who I don't think is a guy whose gotten many, if any at all, during his career after). There was only 1 technical foul, on Terrell Combs in the first half, fouls were Lexington Catholic 18, Bryan Station 16, Free Throws were LC 15 and Bryan Station 14, the reason Lexington Catholic won was because they handled the Bryan Station pressure and shot the ball well. Final score was 79-63, and was over 20 most of the game
