When it comes time for coaches to vote on POY and all those individual accolades, Coach Roesel sends in the stats just like everyone else.

Looks like this game is still tomorrow. And according to KHSAA, Beechwood will not reach the max. They are at 33 games right now with only two more on the schedule (tomorrow at Ryle and Wednesday hosting Cooper).

Despite all the rain last week, the freshmen tournament looks like it will be back on schedule after tonight. Of course the rain tomorrow will be problematic I'm sure. Daily rain update: As mentioned Boone/Cov Cath are cancelled today. Conner/Pendleton is cancelled today. As is the game between their winner and NCC. Scott is playing Dayton at noon at Scott. Winner may or may not play Beechwood at 4 at Ryle. Waiting to see if the field dries up enough. Newport and Simon will play at 3 at Newport. Winner will play Highlands at 5.

If you read all the responses here, many have highlighted Ryle as the favorite. A few have jumped on the back of Beechwood (who is a darn good team themselves) but many more have said they think Ryle wins the 9th. So don't play the victim card. Ryle has proven themselves so far and quite possibly will again the week of Memorial Day

Yeah it is tough to get fields available (and with lights) to do that. Would be very neat though.

I believe those times and locations are being worked on currently.

I was told by Coach Mullins back in January that the baseball project was supposed to start in June but that obviously has been moved up.

He did for awhile but an OFer was brought in for the final four hitters as number of pitches was going up for the one pitcher. Pitchers didn't do bad. They attacked hitters and limited walks but defense let them down. 10 total errors in the game for Dixie.

By my count it was 17 for a final of 24-6. But either way, it was a lot. All go down as team unearned (the 17th is earned for the final pitcher but not the team). Inning should've ended with no runs scoring but an E5 extended the inning. From there it went: 1B, 2B, HBP, E6, 1B, E4, 2B, 1B, BB, 1B, 1B, HBP, 1B, E6, BB, 1B, 2B, F7.

You can't just develop "the better players" at the freshmen or JV levels. You need to develop every player. It often happens that players end up not playing in the future for various reasons (moving, other sports, focus on academics, injuries, etc.) and if you only developed "the better players" it's possible they may not be there and you're in a tough spot. In addition, you have to have backups that get more than sporadic playing time in the event of a in season injury to "a better player" so that way they can adequately step up and fill the role. It's not about developing "the better players", it's about developing everyone. You want your varsity coach to have to make tough roster decisions when the time comes. If there are nothing but easy decisions because only "the better players" were developed, the program will be in a tough spot going forward due to lack of depth and possibly lack of numbers (if those that aren't "the better players" decide it's not worth it.)

I get it. It's tiresome. To try and bait a specific fan base four times in 12 hours is absurd. Especially when that fan base hasn't really been active at all lately (maybe the whole season).

What are you searching for? I get you have an obsession with HHS but come on man. Look at the past few HHS game threads, not many posts, if any. They aren't going to magically appear from you eating popcorn and posting 4 times in 12 hours with "bait" posts.

Highlands' regular season record right now is irrelevant. Lets remember that in 2014 a team made a run to the state finals after posting a 17-16 record in the regular season.
