  1. My favorite part of the baseball season is getting on here right at the beginning of the season and hearing how many pitchers throw 90 mph right here in NKY. It always amazes me.
  2. Lol... Already? I thought we'd at least wait til he threw seven innings before that started.
  3. A complete game? This early in the season? Hmm.
  4. I think it will be interesting to see what other offers he garners.
  5. A lot of people confuse good defense controlling the tempo and teams just playing stall ball.
  6. Exactly. The 9th Region defense is so underrated. People made a huge deal about Holmes only scoring 32 last week, but today they had that in the first half. You don't see defense as good as Boone's down state.
  7. Yeah, Holmes definitely has to limit those careless turnovers and empty possessions. Housely stepping up would be a huge boost if he continues to play that way throughout the tournament. I think Pittman's seven boards and couple of blocks was more important than the lack of scoring output (9). He needs to provide that inside presence for them.
  8. I heard a lot of people were very impressed with Jeremiah as well. He is looking more and more like the next best prospect on that team behind Rico.
  9. Michael is a Junior there... correct?
  10. That was the first one that came to my mind as well!:thumb:
  11. Ok as for Mitch and Senior night... ABSOLUTELY. Great moment. As for your last comment....:deadhorse:... C'mon.
  12. Yeah I'd say those two are pretty good ones. Blake Bryan's school record 48 points against Bellevue is another one.
  13. I'm doing some research for a piece on the best moments from the 9th Region this year. So let's hear it. What were some of the best moments from the 9th Region basketball season?

  15. First of all why do you say Cotton's play was walking? His situation was nothing like Riley's. Riley had the ball and fell to the floor with it. Cotton dove on a loose ball and called timeout. Also Housely had called timeout when he was by the block. The ref didn't give him the call until he was out of bounds, but he definitely called it.
  16. They did go with a matchup 2-3 when Holmes had the ball underneath if I'm not mistaken?
  17. This is 100% right. The only reason the call looked bad is because the ref screwed up on his whistle and then gave a funny look like he was lost. He then grabbed the whistle and blew it and made the right call. The problem was Housley by that time was 5 feet out of bounds. He had control and called the timeout well before going out though. Also, the timeout was the right call to give to Cotton. He dove on a loose ball (which you are allowed to slide with) and he called a timeout... never rolled with it or anything like that.
  18. Lol you gotta love those mediocre wins.
  19. Nope... and what do those two things have to do with each other.
  20. Probably because they pressed NCC last time and Pangallo broke it by himself most of the time.
  21. I think the lady official is going to have a sore forearm tomorrow.
  22. But you went on in your post to say that he needs to learn to give the ball up. That sort of implies that you thought that he should have ooped Pittman.
