I did not see the officiating in this game as being in St.X's favor. Desales has a nice squad and is to be congratulated on a well played game.I would not call them a cream puff,by any stretch.
Also,Saint X lost to CovCath by 22 and were thoroughly outplayed.
Saint X has averaged 17 wins over the last 5 years with the new coaching regime. That is a pretty good record in the 7th region considering there has been no D1 or D2 kids graduating out of the program. Heading into the New Year, Saint X is 10-1.
Saint X pulls out overtime victory over Rowan Co. in semifinal game of Cumberland Hoops Classic. They will take on West Jessamine in finals tomorrow night at 8:30.
Thursday nite final at Collegiate. Lucas Miller led the tigers with a career high of 27 points on 11-14 from the field .Robert Shaw added 13 points and Ashanti Burgess tallied 12 points and 8 rebounds
Ashanti Burgess will step into a starting position and along with Robert Shaw, will give X a quick and tough backcourt. Sophmoore William Olsen will see a lot of action at the wing and has a nose for the ball as well as a nice shooting touch. Andrew Marquess will occupy the center position and has a lot of work ahead of him to follow 6'9" Kiesler.
Tigers lost 4 starters from last year but should have a competitive squad this year.
