Second 7th Region semifinal set to tip at 8 pm.

Central's got the band rolling here at Valley. Should be a nice atmosphere if we can find any students to do some cheering.

Starting Lineups:

Trinity: Ivory, Hicks, Rice, Owens, Strothman

Central: Jackson, Johnson, Chandler, Sanford, Daniels

A small but determined group of Ballard students stuck around to cheer for Central. Their not leaving is, I assume, why the Trinity students are sitting at the top of the gym.

Trinity fails to get a shot off at the buzzer; Shamrocks lead 7-4 at the end of one.

It's being called pretty tight, which could be trouble for Trinity and their intense pressure defense.

Neither team shooting well early.

Not sure what Trinity's shooting percentage is, but they're 0-for the last BUNCH.

Lead 10- 7 after Page hits 2 FTs for Trinity.

A bucket by Tre Ivory makes t 12-7 Trinity with 3:41 to play in the half.

Basket and 1 by Cedric Daniels, then a layup by Jackson.

Tied at 14.

Hicks with a basket for the Rocks, Jackson's final attempt doesn't get there.

Halftime: Trinity leads 16-14.

Neither team can find a way inside and both are trying VERY hard to do so.

Trinity shot 21 percent from the field.

Central shot 28 percent.

What have I been watching tonight? First half of the other game was rotten too.

Trinity gets a couple free throws from Hicks and then a three by Ivory to stretch the lead to 21-14 with 5:47 to play in the third. Timeout Central.

Ivory with another and Hicks with two more. 27-16 Trinity with 4:22 to play in the third.

Central rattles off 7 in a row. It's now 27-23 Trinity. Central's Stuart Jackson will shoot one free throw after the timeout.

52 seconds left to play in the third.

James Quick gets a driving runner in the lane to push it to 32-23 Trinity at the end of the third.

Quick's speed is just fantastic.

Trinity is doing everything they can to keep Chandler away from the ball. They're giving open looks to other guys to keep him guarded. After watching what he did to X yesterday, that seems like a good plan.
