This should be a good game, but what can not happen for St. Henry is foul trouble. Bessler, Thorburn and Seifreid have to guard much bigger and stronger players in this one. If they all get in foul trouble and do not play on the floor together much in this one St. Henry is in trouble. Cov. Cath has the size and the bench to win this one, but they also had the advantage in December. Curious to see if Cov. Cath puts Connelly on Barnett in this one to take his outside shot away. Should be a good one.

Was Ryle in the top ten when they beat Holmes? I know St.Henry was not ranked when they beat Boone Co which I believe was either number 2 or 3 at the time in Northern KY.

A few more that could be debated Dayton over Beechwood and Holy Cross over Dixie along with 2 from St. Henry one over Boone Co and the other over Cov. Cath. St. Henry over Boone could be one of the biggest of the year. If Boone wins the 33rd district and St. Henry finishes as runner up in the 34th this would be a nice 1st round matchup in the 9th region tournament.

As the 9th region tournament approaches as the districts wind down, looking back over this past season which games during the year do you believe should be called upsets? And which teams do you think can pull off an upset in this years tournament? The one that comes to mind right away for me is Ryle over Holmes any others worthy of being called an upset?

Agree with NKYBOY also St. Henry will need their A game tonight first tough team the CRU will have since the New Cath game and changes to the lineup. Go luck to the CRU. Hopefully home court advantage pays off tonight.

On behalf of these two young men, I believe this is very unfair to them to make that statement. First unless you are their parents or coach or school adminstrator I don't think we really know the whole circumstance on this issue. Secondly everyone is entitled to voice their opinion, but this is a thread on 9th region basketball not Popp and Schultze.3rd we have not had any official word from Boone Co or the Popps that he is no longer playing so until that is verified I think we need to stay on the subject of basketball. And to these young men good luck with your future plans.

Dixie beat St. Henry and St. Henry beat Boone. Dixie has better size than St. Henry so it might be a lot closer than expected. If the Boone team shows up that played St. Henry edge to Dixie in a close one. If a fired up Boone team shows up Boone by 12 plus.

No offense to Mr.Faust, but once again it was senior night and I have to say those young men where the difference tonight not the coach. They gave everything they had to make their night a winner. Congrats to them and Mr. Faust and good luck in the districts.
