Good question, I'll find out tomorrow ! I was a little disappointed in the Elliott Co. vs Ballard article. Thought it would have been more.

It's tough to beat them on their own floor , especially after Ballard played last night + the bus ride up here. Probably didn't see Ballard at their best, but they still hung in there. Rockmom, there are six or seven teams out of the 7th region that on a good night could play with anyone in the state. But I would have to put Elliott Co. in the same category. I don't think you can pick a winner on scores , or who beat who yesterday. That just doesn't always hold up , as we have already witnessed this year. There are to many variables , even after the players take the floor you still don't know. Mine was just a guess , same as most others. But I will be watching the game. One thing for sure , half the teams that played yesterday , got beat !:thumb:

Someone had said Ballard likes to run , start to finish. I would have thought with the teams they played, and their style of play, the point totals from some of those games would have been higher. But feel free to add to the smiles list in the reply post deep fried crow , just in case !

I didn't take what you said as denegrating. No, I don't think they are weak at all. They are obviously pretty good as well as some of their other region teams. Based on EC playing at home, where they haven't lost since 2006, and where they practice every day, I just think they have an edge. I also believe people underestimate their ability to run, rebound, and play D.

Yes. There are many regions stronger than the 16th, and Elliott Co. does not have a lot of competition in the 16th. But one simply can't declare they are a weak team based on their location. I'm sure they may have lost more games in other regions but they have earned a little more respect than they get from some on BGP. I'm not even from EC but I really enjoy their play. They do have a few cranked up fans , but this has been a once in a lifetime ride for them. As far as I'm concerned, thats fine with me. I'm just a basketball fan , period.:thumb:

What I did say was: The only way Ballard can win this game is for EC to have an off shooting night , and that rarely happens to them at home. EC has a patend on that slow start ! They need to get rid of it before the state. May not be able to get back on some teams.

Well......I gotta tell ya , I recorded it , slowed it down, and played it back 5 times.............and it still stands !:deadhorse::deadhorse::deadhorse:

They got a little excited the last 5 min. and didn't take care of the ball on about 6 straight posessions.! They let a 11 pnt. lead slip to 1 before gaining control. BUT this bunch of boys could be tough on a good nite. They just may win a few more before it's over !:thumb:
