  1. Afraid we've beat another horse to death ! Ever body wants a link,or proof ! To quote Earl Pitts, come on people, wake up America. Our Government will do , or have done for them, what ever is necessary to get any information needed, and if they get caught they claim no knowledge, or either unauthorized and sacrifice somebody to make you happy. If one choses to not believe this , that's fine with me. And no I don't have a link or proof, I don't need it !
  2. He thought your avatar was the Capital building and he knew there was no truth coming out of there.
  3. Under certain circumstances it probably never stopped. It won't stop now. We just won't see or hear about it again. The CIA will hire third party militants to do it for them, and they will leave less witnesses to talk about it.The CIA is not known for their kindness and their job is a necessary one.
  4. Did the shot go in ? As a player , if I didn't get excited about a made shot, a steal, or a rebound , then I would not play. Do you not know how it feels to be successful as a team player, to help your team further its goal ? It looks as though you may have mistaken excitement for cockiness.:idunno: Just my opinion.:thumb:
  5. I have watched all the teams you mentioned and you would see another barn burner IMO. With the Cards at full strength it would probably be a good match up. As I mentioned in an earlier thread, Elliott is quicker than many believe and are after every possession. If Elliott's shots are falling they would get the edge, but you can't sell out the Cards. They have played a tough schedule and will be prepared in the districts. This time of year , polls mean nothing.:idunno::thumb:
  6. Sometimes hard to read what is really intended by a players actions without knowing the player. I didn't see it, so I can't call it. BUT, I know Kidwell won't tolerate the kind of play you claim. SO, if it happened , it would be dealt with..:thumb:
  7. Good win for Ashland. Russell played them hard but their shots didn't fall when they needed them. Russell cut the score to 8 in the third but Ashland cleaned the boards and hit some big threes to put it out of reach. Big game for Bonner on senior night. Nice job by the Devils JV finishing up their season with a win. Looking foward to next season for them.:thumb:
  8. Tough loss for the Cards and a solid win for Ballard. Goldie , we new they would be a hard out at home.:thumb:
  9. Rockmom, I'm not for torture either but I know this enemy will cut your throat in a heart beat. I don't have a good answer but the people we are fighting have no value of human life. This same CIA operates the drones that have saved many of our troops , so I would prefer they stay put. Closing Guantanamo will probably put those there in our Federal Prisons which are over crowded and under staffed. You may not realize that, but you probably have never witnessed a crowd of them chanting things I won't say here.
  10. I had heard on news yesterday 5-6 thousand more to be sent. But 17000 would be even better as long as they get it done. I think Pakistan is riding the fence so hard on this one they may eventually end up giving some of the leaders up. I think they know where they are and they are more afraid of the US than the Taliban.
  11. In the original post you will find a list of things that have been done that I do not agree with. Closing Guantanamo. I don't want them in this country. $60 mil in aid that we have to borrow from China, I don't see it. Closing the CIA centers, I guess we'll get our information via carrier pigeons. Not wanting to use “enhanced” interrogation methods when those same people will behead our troops in a heart beat. Humanitarian aid wouldn't be so bad if our country was in better financial condition, but under current conditions we need to pull in the reins a little. I see no fault in his call to Abbas, but I doubt it will influence people in charge of Gaza. So far the only good thing I have seen done in dealing with any of our terrorists problems is to purpose to send more troops after the Taliban,(about 6000) and the only end to this one is to totally destroy them. I would like nothing better than to get our conflicts over and get all of our personnel back state side.
  12. I hope it doesn't come down to cutting sports but I'm not sure what eventual choices may be necessary. The stats for scholarships are not really good though. About 3% of high school athletes go to college on one. Only 1% go on from there to play professional sports. So other than work ethics, team concepts , and making some life long friends and memories , I'm not sure what the real benefits are. If we want to continue programs we'll have to pay the taxes to keep them.
  13. Most often , if you have a problem finding a particular model , you can call the manufacturer and they can tell you the distributor they shipped the highest number to. Then you can get any dealer to order it. Many dealers only have a few distributors they order from and are not familiar with others. That's usually the way law enforcement finds where a particular serial numbered gun was sold. Kind of like a reverse look up !
  14. Could be ! But the facts speak for themselves. Really sad IMO. If we don't get the holes plugged, this listing ship may go down. His offering of change is kind of like "here's your sign". Most of his appointees are Wacke jobs. You don't have to dig very far to confirm that. I was way way over the big O before he got elected.:isurrender:
  15. Smokey , I fixed the score for you ! Greenup Co. 13 - 12 - 1 Rose Hill 14 - 9 - 1
  16. I have read the ADI for more years than I care to remember and believe they have done a pretty good job over the years. I have been to sports events all over this area and have seen their writers at many of them. Not to long ago, I saw Rocky Stanley at Paintsville covering an event. They would have to sell a lot of papers just to pay for the gas to go to Paintsville and back. No doubt they have also been hit by the economy. I firmly believe they not only cover all the events they can, but they support all of the local teams as sports enthusiasts. I Hope they can survive this resent downturn so I can continue reading their paper.
  17. I'm thinking their game against East Carter is going to be a really tough one. IF they win this one they will probably set it on cruise control until the first round of state. East will be prepared for them and they won't be an easy out. There have been many very good teams in the past upset in their district. This one will be closer than many think.:thumb:
  18. There are a couple of issues with stats, one being a lack of manpower (ADI has cut like everybody else). Also, all schools in the area don't report stats to the KHSAA or to the ADI for whatever reason. It would be a very incomplete list. Hope that answers it for you (from ADI):thumb:
  19. They just may be. But I wouldn't bet the farm on this one either !:idunno:
  20. Not sure what happened to the cards in the last game , but I bet coach gets a better effort in this one ! 1/2 court goes to Cards ! Getting in a race probably goes to Ballard ! TOO close to call!:idunno:
  21. I wonder what would happen if they all told him they were moving out of the state? I would not like to see it , but you couldn't blame them.
  22. I'd really like to buy another firearm, I have only acquired 5 since the big O took over, and about 500 rounds of ammo.I told the wife I'm paranoid but it's really just a hobby. She said I'm a little strapped right now, so I hoping for a stimulus check!
  23. I really don't think individuals do as well at factoring in matchups as some think they do either. Just for example, how many times have you heard Elliott Co. can't run with this team or that team, but they most always end up running the game out.(not waving their banner, just an example).:thumb:
  24. I hope Elliott Co. brings ALL of their following................the AD needs the money !
