No, I haven't seen them in person . Hope to next week. Some have posted in another thread that Boone and Holmes are dead even and that looks like the case by points per game scored and given up, and they split this year. Both teams played Ballard close. Ballard wanted to run Elliott Co. but that didn't work so well. Doesn't really matter how many you give up if you have more on the board when the horn sounds. Elliott also steals out of the passing lanes and back tips a lot. Neither team will get to far away from the other, if they even make it far enough to see each other. I doubt any team will hold Elliott to 30. -

1. Elliott Co. 2. Eastern 3. Holmes 4. Shelby Valley 5. Lex Cath 6. Mason Co 7. Anderson Co. 8. Christian Co. 9. Corbin 10. Adair Co 11. Bowling Green 12. Hazard 13. Central 14. West Jessamine 15. Grayson Co. 16. Graves Co. -
Elliott Co. has not needed to play defense, doesen't mean they can't. If they play Holmes they will play both ends of the floor. Holmes has scored 70+ eight times this year and Elliott has scored below 70 only twice this season. No team is going to hold Elliott in the low 30's, won't happen. Most may not know this but Elliott Co.s boys have played over 1500 games together, so they have a little experience too." Elliott gives up almost 60 ppg. Holmes on the year is giving up just 46 ppg." I'll add to that , Holmes has averaged 60 ppg and Elliott has averaged 86 ppg. I really hope they get to this game.

Elliott Co. by 9+. The only way They lose is serious foul trouble or a poor shooting night. -

Good luck to Elliott Co. at state ! Nice run by Lewis Co. Old Rambler, you would get a lot more movie goers if you titled the movie "best team of Hookers ever":thumb: -

Wireman, Ashland had two chances trying to play with EC, slim and none ! They choose none. They maybe could have played keep away and the score would have been 40 to 20 , but no team in the 16th can play with them for a whole game. -

They faced Ballard with people saying they couldn't run with them. I'm sure if Eastern or J-town want to run it will be their mistake. If you see them play they will make a believer out of you. -

If Elliott Co. can win the state tournament they will have a home grown team with a dream come true. Their school has around 300 students. If they do not win, they have still been a great home grown story. If Scott Co. can win that most will just say what did you expect. If they can't, some will say they should have. I believe that one team can't lose and the other can't win.:thumb:

They just ain't making it! I'm not even going to watch.

GEEE, really ? They only scored 31 in the first quarter. That's more than many scored in one half, and some in a whole game this year. They had 4 in double figures without playing the fourth quarter. They also hit 11 threes and they finished with 88 points. I guess some of you have really really high expectations.:ohbrother: Elliott Co. will also take this one, no problem.

Elliott County 88 Russell 61

Well everbody knew going in Elliott Co. was going to take this one. Russell did ok for their youth and size. They shot the three pretty well too. Elliott had 11 threes and Russell had 10. I think that was a regional record for the most 3's in a game. Good luck to Elliott at state. -

LRCW, they played slow down, final score from 1928 game .... Ashland Ky. 15 Canton Il. 10 The barefoot boys from Carr Creek lost to Ashland in 4 overtimes, but Carr Creek was small school division.

There is another positive...I'm positive Russell's boys will play as hard as they have all year. I wouldn't consider it a negetive for any team to lose to Elliott Co. either. They could very well be the next state title holders.:thumb:

Good grief , what a match up ! East v Rowan-what a rematch ! Lewis Co. v Ashland who has been steady all year- Lewis with a truck load of seniors that never quit ! Lewis lost to Ashland earlier by 9 I think. Elliott Co. v Fleming Co. Fleming Co. lost bad the first time, but have improved and won't roll over quite as easy in this one. Boyd Co. v Russell, lost by 3 earlier, Russell avenged two earlier losses to take the 63rd and will leave it all on the floor ! Rowan Co. has to be the favorite, but your crystal ball better be the real deal to pick all these games right !:idunno:
