To be completely honest I didn't have a great view of the play. I was sitting in the Holy Cross section of the stadium and didn't have a clear view. Regardless, that puts a man on second with 2 outs. It's up to Cov Cath to get out of the inning, so I think it's a little bit unfair to put the game changing play/inning on an umpire.

I was simply reminding Holy Cross that their win last night should have an asterisk next to it... Seriously though, the way you worded it sounded like that was your excuse to why CCH didn't win. I could of come out and said: After four games and delivering mulch till late Saturday night, for a school fundraiser, Holy Cross wins it's fifth game of the weekend and are Doc Morris Champs, this all without pitching their top pitcher in Roenker and their #2 man, Ritter, only 2/3 innings. We all know CCH played 12 innings before, and were probably exhausted, but that doesn't mean HC didn't deserve this win. Tyler Johnson pitched a heck of a game and HC needed him to, clutch performance on his part. I just thought it was taking away from a big HC win. I know you do a lot for this site, especially in this forum and I am appreciative, I enjoy reading your post-game summaries. Just thought the way you worded it defiently took away from the HC win, and obviously I'm not the only one who thought this.

Note to HC: You didn't win this game, credit all the extra innings CCH played earlier. Good job HC, but CCH would have won if it wasn't for that...

You're right. New Cath is in the All "A" and I would definitely consider them a front runner in the ninth. They've played extremely well as of late, but my question about their team is pitching. I know Meyer and Cain are two of the best, but the way the "A" is set up a team will need depth in order to win it. Aside from Meyer and Cain, who else can help take the Breds down to state?
