Lets be clear as to not start false rumors. Conner Hempel has one offer as of today from WKU. The others you list are in the "showing interest" category. It would not surprise me to see additional offers forthcoming after he completes his summer tour of camps. He was at JR day for Louisville (I think). He went to San Antonio for some sort of showcase as well.

 

I don't believe the young Elliott boy has offers yet.

Heard Stanford had an interest in Hemp. Most say Elliott will be a service boy after school but I am sure that can all change with a few big offers.

The word is WKU. Hempel will receive quite a few more. He is probably one of the biggest prospects in recent NKY history....his size and deceptive speed will earn a lot of coaches respect. For those who are skeptical of his speed, watch the Ryle BB team. He is one of their top base stealers.

I love hearing about N. Ky. kids getting D1 offers, but it is a leap to say he is one of the biggest prospects in recent N. Ky. history. Just last year we had Collinsworth, Nichols and Simpson. I hope the offers keep coming and Hempel can reach the same level of prospect as those three.

Just going by what the coaches told me.

According to WKU Insider, they have medium interest in Hemple and an offer has not been made.

ESPN.com has Hempel listed at 6'1 210 Ryle had him listed at 6'3 he must have shrunk?

Or maybe a 16 or 17 year old may grow. I don't know if you have seen his mom and dad. When its all said and done he should be in the 6-4 area. :idunno:

Completely untrue. At best, he is middle of the pack speedwise on that team and I've been told that by a couple of people. He is not some speed demon. He has decent but not special speed. Also a tremendous overstatement to say he's one of the biggest prospects in NKY history. Keep it reasonable.

This sounds more accurate. Even before he put on the weight/muscle he was far from a burner in the open field. The thing with him is he's simply a good athlete. Most of the good athletes in NKY run a 4.6-4.7 across the board. As Clyde was saying I think he's trying to bulk up for the next level. Any running he may do might be Tebow style, it is to be seen.
