With the base loaded and one out Lankheit hit a fly ball to center field where the Holy Cross CF caught the ball and then threw out Taylor at the plate to end the game and preserve the victory for Covington Holy Cross.

Note to HC: You didn't win this game, credit all the extra innings CCH played earlier. Good job HC, but CCH would have won if it wasn't for that...

Good to see HC come up with this big win. As others have said the 35th is going to be great this year. Being the #1 seed will be huge.

That first part was not necessary at all. Way to try to take any credit away from Holy Cross, and basically blame it being a long day for CovCath losing. It was a great baseball game, that Holy Cross won and CovCath lost, and should leave it at that. Congrats to both teams on a great and exciting game.
