  1. Yeah, that is correct. Grant's starter Thompson sprained his ankle in the 3rd so Kinmon pulled everyone. But I think the 8th is wide OPEN this year!
  2. Last year Grant beat Owen once and had them down by double digits at Owen when Kinmon pulled the starters. I'm not disagreeing, just making a statement to your response.
  3. 1 - Shelby (I put Shelby number 1 due to the fact they return expierence and was Region Champion from last year) 2 - Anderson (Penny) 3 - Grant (They return all but 1 player, carry good size ranging from 6'1-6'6 across the board, and have a senior dominated team) 4 - Gallatin (Maddox) 5 - North Oldham 6 - Owen (Gamble and Sheldon?)
  4. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What does Grant County need to do to improve in 2008/2009? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.
  5. What about Grant County? What do they need to improve on? What is everyone's opinion on how they will do this upcoming season?
  6. I know Scott County has two from this region. Anyone know of anymore?
  7. Wow, I dont see how Gallatin could stop Penny, they have no size matchup with Anderson at all. Gallatin plays so hard though I can kind of see why they are in this game, Anderson's guard play is weak, is Gallatin pressuring the guard play?
  8. Sharp made if from Grant beacuse he is a very good, hard working Player.
  9. I'm pretty sure that Owen has 3 Seniors, maybe 4.
  10. I hear you, but its too late in the year to worry about that game. Whats the difference between 11-16 and 12-15? And (maybe) an injured player(s). Too risky, but I guess your opinion is legitimate.
  11. Well, the finals amount to nothing if you don't win. :sssh: But still, it is a nice accomplishment to make it that far. Everyone has their own opinion and I like to back mine up just as well as anyone else. SK is 12-14 on the year which is not much better than Grants. Grant has young players, they are fun to watch when they execute their transistion.
  12. Kinmon doesn't judge his season on wins and losses. If he did he wouldn't scheldue Anderson, Shelby(2 times), Oldham, Ryle, Ashland, and other teams on those teams level of play year after year. He prepares for post season which is all that matters. For example, Last years Owen team was on of the better teams they have had. Won 20+ games but could of had a tougher scheldue. If I remember correctly, they didnt go far in postseason. You can say he needed a win, but their are bigger fish to fry come Monday Night. An out-of-district game that is 2 days away from Grants district is not worth a chance to injure one of their main players.
  13. I forgot all about that, I wish Kinmon would have just let his players win this game, but I understand where he is coming from.
  14. Hm, I say Grant will pull away. They know they can play with SK, they tied at Halftime with them earlier in the year. Just mental mistakes beat them which happens to young teams like Grant. It will be a tough game. At Grant and the way they Grant has been playing and SK's injuries I think it will be a 5-10 pt victory with Free Throws deciding the margin at the end. Will be a very fun game to watch!
  15. I think it will be a tough game if Walton is not hitting from the perimiter. If they are however, Im saying a blowout in their favor. W-Towns players play hard soo you cant count them out. Should be a rather fun game to watch with the suspense from the last time they played!
  16. 1st round of districts on Monday at Grant. SK has some injuries and Grant was playing good ball to end the year. WHat's your predictions?
  17. Grant played all players against Owen considering they have districts on Monday. In all fairness to Grant they were up by 10 before they sub their bench in. Owen ended the half up 1. Grant came out in the second half and sub their bench in up 4. I am not taking away from Owen's win. They didn't find the only shooter Owen has(Gamble), who ended with 4 or 5 threes for the game. Congrats to Owen on their win on senior night!
  18. With districts only a few days away from gameday(today), how will both coaches play their players??
  19. A few years ago at the state tourny CovCath had a student put on boxing gloves and stand in front of the cheering section. If he swung from the left they all fell to the left and so on with the other punches. I thought it was very humurous.
  20. Game is at Owen. Friday Night. Grant is coming off loss to Lloyd.
  21. Grant is playing some great ball. If Walton can upset SK, Grant can definitly do it!
  22. Well, Im pretty sure your coach Jones seen the game was over and got a T, I can see that being used as an excuse. But I totally agree, I hope these two teams play again in the region. It will be a great game to watch!
