Final in the 31st District

Henson comes up huge in the end hitting his free throws! Three years in a row , HOW SWEET IT IS!

Game was tied at 32 after 3 quarters, but The Wildcats held Owen to just 2 FT until the 1:45 mark of the 4th. By then it was 43-34. Maddox led GC with 14. Henson added 11, Brown 7, T. Jones 7, Z. Jones 4, Carlton 4, and Davis 4.

Gallatin takes a 22-6 record into next week's 8th Regional Tournament.

Congrats Wildcats! Looks like they keep it going!

I agree nice win Cats. :dancingpa:dancingpa:dancingpa

I think that the game would've been much closer if Shelton would've gotten more oppurtunities on the offensive end.

Welcome to the site Madluc. Do you know how many seniors Owen has?

Congrats to GC, beating Owen Co. as well as Owen had been playing was no small feat.

Give Gallatin credit for this. Their defense swarmed the perimeter players and made the entry passes difficult. I am not sure Shelton worked hard to get the ball either.

Good luck to both of these clubs in the regional.

By the way, Owen did a great job of hosting this tournament. It takes a lot of help and they seemed to have it together.

Can always count on my friends at Owen to be good hosts.:thumb:

Well Shelton was diagnosed with bronchitis earlier in the week, so he has been playing sick.

Thanks for the update.

I believe Owen only has one senior on the squad so they may be the district favorite next year.

Mr. A did Owen have a home court advantage in this one or was the GC crowd just as big?

Congrats to the Wildcats.

I'm pretty sure that Owen has 3 Seniors, maybe 4.
