I hope the administration can make a good selection but considering the track record they are going to have to make a vast improvement. I mean lets face it Luebbe then Rosen. Luebbe may have had a decent record but talking about watering down the schedule as much as possible. I know that we are in that conference - just a thought, maybe we should get out of it. Did Luebbe ever win a region game - Noooo. Coach Rosen can put that on her resume.

I hate to see what happened to Coach Rosen. She was a nice lady and I think she was hired to fail. The first thing that needs to happen at Walton is to get rid of a few more coaches in the girls coaching staff. Why not go ahead and clean house while looking for this new person. I just think that there have been so many issues and just getting a new varsity coach isn't going to solve everything. I just hope the new person gets to coach the team without having to take orders from people above in the administration. The new coach definitely needs to have a backbone.

You are correct about staying on floor for young guards, but the older guards have been hurt also. I do not think it is as much of a young thing but the fact that the refs are letting things get rougher as the years go on. The senior that got hurt was as strong as anyone on team, but still got hurt. I did not see game against Oldham, but I understand that young guards were big down stretch as well as terrific game by Hargett.

Walton has the guards to handle pressure, it is will they use the correct ones. The young girls I have been tracking can handle the pressure. They will have turnovers, but if they have space and keep floor spread they wll be fine. Key for WV is rebounding, and team defense, but you are correct about refs need to call it like a b-ball game not hockey or rugby. Young guards are talented, but do not weigh 130 lbs. Remember this is not a SK defense, not even close. Ryle, SK, HC help prepare you for these games.

I can not say and most of our teams are full but there is always a kid that comes along late in the season. We are still talking to some kids, plus some kids are not always happy with their present teams and their exposure. I have seen many good young players in the area. I actually scout for a few organizations.

Highlands will be very successful as long as their coach stays. All I am saying is that she does a tremendous job with her whole program. Highlands, Ryle and Conner all have great pools of talent in their lower grades.

I saw a pretty good South Oldham team dismantle Highlands, I would not count them or Shelby out yet.

I have enjoyed watching northern KY this year, there are some really good young prospects in the area I cover. In Ky the kids start playing at younger age and I can watch them play against older, more mature kids.

Not schools , select teams from all over the country. I recruit for several select teams and watch kids from Dayton to Lexington and across to Louisville.

Ryle overachieved this year for sure, I think they only won 9 or 10 games last year.They are a program on the rise. I think Ludlow has done a nice job this year also.

I have seen them play 5 or 6 times and they can catch and shoot but outside of Toliver none can shoot pullup jumpshot. They do not have any great athletes outside of Ferris in first five. Ponzer kid gives speed but compared to some of athletes I have seen in division I summer leagues they are very mechanical. I restate they are good but if Stowers were to coach both teams SK would not beat WV by more than 15.

I saw the Ryle game and felt ND was the best team in northern Ky. with both great offense and defense. They are very very well coached.

Probably not the adjustments will not be made. SK has struggled with mature teams that are more their age. SKis a more physical team with no real athletic players outside of Ferris. Conner and Boone are two teams that come to mind as well as Highlands.Defense is their thing, their outside shooting is streaky. Still a very nice team but they look more uneasy shooting than they did earlier this year. Plus WV did lose a starter too a ACL tear last week.

Is South Oldham a better team than SK?

I agree Simon is too strong for Walton at this point but it is not because they are that great on offense. A good quick moving 3-2 with Hargett on the point would give them more problems than a man. It is tougher to hit from 19 feet than 2. Also spreading the floor to limit doubles can help. Ido agree SK is better team, but not 25 points better.

Who won the girls state at Bowling Green last year?

I am very unbiased Iwas just there watching the young girls play so that I could report back to summer teams I scout for. If you were broadcasting the game and did not hear her it is because you were focused on doing your job right. She did use profanity on several occasions. Ryle does look to have a bright future and they just did not play as well as I have seen them play recently. Boone played well enough to win, kept Ryle from running was key to win.

I was siting about forty or fifty feet away and heard it clearly. It is ashame that she has to revert to such language to coach, but she at least needs to keep it in her huddles and locker room if her parents and administation are good with it. Ithought she had some class until last night.

It was not the fan that was using foul language it was Boone 's coach. I had not seen her coach in years, I had to move my young child because he wanted to know why she was using those words. The fan was merely telling her she was doing wrong with the way she talked to her kids. Maybe she needs to move on to the college game, because that is the way both my college coach and my professional coach in Sweden talked. Sometimes the truth hurts and I believe the fan was correct. She was out of control!!!

You are exactly correct Oliverio is not Fookes, she took a nine win team from last year and turned it into a 21-6 team this year. She also did this with only one returning starter from last years squad. That is coaching not just putting pieces from various schools together. Ryle by 4 young players do not worry about losing they have four more years to play.
