  1. As of yesterday, Donna is doing better but showing signs of her body rejecting the liver. The doctors think that steroids will take care of that problem. She is on quite a bit of medication which make her tired. She has had many visitors and the family yeaterday requested that only immediate family be allowed to see her. You know how Donna is, very respectful, she wants to be awake for all who come. Keep her in your thougths and prayers.
  2. Where did you get the information that she resigned because of her daughter? From the information I got, she is tired of the situation and needs to get away from basketball.
  3. Connie had a negative experience at Walton with some basketball players and parents. It took the wind out of her sails. Once again, another excellent Walton-Verona coach driven from the sport for all the wrong reasons.
  4. Now how would it look if the AD's daughter got the head coaching job?? Come on people, get real!!
  5. The Loyce Meadows winner was Stephanie Brennan of Beechwood High School. Also, the banquet is given by the Northern Ky High School Girls Basketball Coaches Association. It is made up of any Northern Ky team that wants to participate. The Divisions are based off of the conference schedule from the NKAC. When the re-districting took place, it put some schools in the 8th and 10th regions and most of those schools have chosen to still participate in this association.
  6. What do you mean by "recurring theme"? Do you mean that W-V gets beat by teams that are bigger, strong and fasters than they are?? I don't think the previous coach would have had any solutions. District 32 --Scott County --Simon Kenton-What is the difference? All that the district change did was trade Scott Co. for Simon Kenton. They are still a few notches ahead of the other teams in the district.
  7. How the All Tournament team is going to be picked should be made at the draw meeting. Some have the coaches pick their players and some have a committee to do the picking. I feel the committee picking the team is the best way. I have never heard of a district not having an all tournament team.
  8. Predictions? Coach Fookes and the Lady Rebels are always ready to play at tournament time. Ryle beat them once--Can they do it again in the tournament atmosphere?? Neutral flloor at Conner. I will take Ryle by 4.
  9. the weak schedule played against other small schools where most of the opponents young talent is playing varsity. Nothing against other schools, but with the talented younger players WV has right now I think Stevie Wonder could of had a winning record for the WV JV.[/QUOTE] KyRebel--Apparently you don't understand the scheduling limitations that a NCKC participant faces--at least 16-18 games are tied up in conference and district oppontents which does not leave much freedom for scheduling.
  10. I agree with what you are saying. The Adults at games have loss sight of the big picture-- they should be the role models and teaching sportsmanship. Instead, the kids are hearing it and the coaches are having to put up with it. Why has it come to this?
  11. Why do you have to worry about what you say? Are you afraid of what you might say or are you afriad that whatever you would say would get back to the wrong people?
  12. I have seen coaching staffs wear the opposing team's colors.
  13. I don't think all of the problems come from the players and coaches. I was at the Ryle game and their parents sit all over the place. Is there no team support or are they just worried about their daughter's perfromance?
