Does any one know who picks your All Tourney team in all the districts/ regions??

Is it all coaches or does each school coach in each district/region pick who they want?

I think it is the coaches..collectively.

Is it the coaches or is it that the hosting school puts together a committee of media personal? Just a thought.

Is there a list of who made it in each district?

51st didn't have an all tourny team.

How the All Tournament team is going to be picked should be made at the draw meeting. Some have the coaches pick their players and some have a committee to do the picking. I feel the committee picking the team is the best way. I have never heard of a district not having an all tournament team.

There was a time back in the early 90's where the 10th region teams didn't have all-tournament teams for the district OR regional. When asked, someone said that too many people get mad because some player here or another player there didn't make the all-tournament team so they did away with both. But I think in the late 90's the 10th region stated a coaches asssociation and started back up not only an all-region team for the tournament but all an all-region team for the season. Good to once again be recognizing the girls for all their hard work.

I don't think the 39th district has an all-tournament team.

38th district had no all-tournament team. The schools will vote on whether to have a team or not.

 

MOST districts that do have a team, the two teams that lost in the first round get one representative each chosen by the team's coach.

 

The runner-up gets two, chosen by that team's coach.

The champion gets three, chosen by that team's coach.

 

Those districts that do not have one, I would guess view them as the choices can do more damage to a team than they are worth.
