Speaking of playing time.....Why was Messmer not out there more? By far one of their better defenders I think. Lots of turn overs by the Bluebirds. Nice job to the Breds on offense!

I noticed on the last Highlands thread against NDA people were complaining about the score board being turned off right after the game, I would be happy to inform those who were wondering Highlands turned off the score board 16.7 minutes after the final buzzard. :lol:

Highlands defense won this one but I am sure the Pandas hope to have another chance to play the Bluebirds. Could not agree more on the defense comment. Nice free throws by Allen and Towles. Great defense by Messmer too.

It seems to me that this thread has gone from the Highland/Scott game to a love/hate Thomas Towles thread. I have seen the kid throw in both good and not so good games. he did seem to struggle a bit at the begining of his season, but it seems like he is staring to make some ground, and is pitching very well. Wheter he gets "drafted" to the pros or not, no can tell. We are not fortune tellers here, (but if any of you are let me know what the lottery numbers are for next week He does have very good physical make up to be an extreamly good pitcher. I think we should see how the rest of the season goes for him. But we'll be routing for him, it's always a good thing to see someone from this area do well in their sports!

I must say in the birds defense, in the third two runs were scored on a foul ball that was called fair. Thats about the time they took Towles out.

Does any one know who picks your All Tourney team in all the districts/ regions?? Is it all coaches or does each school coach in each district/region pick who they want?

final for DHS and HHS... Bluebirds won district... Feel bad for Kimber Schultz getting left off the all tourney team.. Katie Allen was snubbed from a repeat MVP ... Anyone know why HHS was not given three spots. Did the rules change.????

As a long time bluebird fan I would like to make a comment in regaurds to the picture I saw in the paper today. The people who write these articles and print the pictures really need to get their fact straight. The picture clearly shows sammy in a defensive position against jackson, but the caption under the picture states other wise. If the caption was correct then sammy would have had a forced turn over, as a fan that was at the game she had no turn overs. Wish that these reporters would "double" check their work. Oh well maybe next time...go birds!
