Conference Coachs and Players in the 9th Region are as follows.

 

Coaches Div. I--Kim Wafield--Conner

Congratulations to all of those recognized and honored this year at yesterdays awards banquet. As always it was a very nice banquet and ceremony.

Banquet was for more than just 9th region. Some 8th, 10th and all 9th regions were represented. All MVP winners did happen to be 9th region players though.

Congrats to all the players. On a side note, when was the last time a school had the Division I POY in both boys and girls at the same school?

The Loyce Meadows winner was Stephanie Brennan of Beechwood High School.

 

Also, the banquet is given by the Northern Ky High School Girls Basketball Coaches Association. It is made up of any Northern Ky team that wants to participate.

 

The Divisions are based off of the conference schedule from the NKAC. When the re-districting took place, it put some schools in the 8th and 10th regions and most of those schools have chosen to still participate in this association.

Congratulations to Coach Warfield. It's one thing to win the 9th region with a team everyone expects to be there, but not too many people (except maybe the Lady Cougars themselves) expected Conner to represent the 9th region this year.
